Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I have the techwell which works great but I’d imagine it’s similar/identical to the TF. I had an early one and it did break. When I contacted tech well they immediately sent me a new one. Customer service was amazing.
  2. I have 3k 125 grain bullets coming to my house as we speak. Price was fantastic so I had to try them out. I’ll report back once I load some up and try them out.
  3. I’ve been using the DAA primer collator pro and have been very happy with it. Although I do find I need to clean it with endust every few thousand rounds.
  4. I would suggest knocking the charge down a few grains and see if you get similar velocities. Unburnt powder usually means you have more powder than you can burn in the barrel.
  5. I’ve been using the Frankfort arsenal for a while now and am thinking about upgrading to the Mitutoyo or similar. Do you guys think it’s worth the investment?
  6. Definitely not necessary, but it won’t hurt anything. I do love the level of commitment to clean ammo though!
  7. I don’t love the decapping system on the Lee dies as much as the dillons but as long as I don’t try to force the pin into a case with something in it, or get a Norma brass with the small flash hole, the die works great.
  8. Do we know what the price on this will be?
  9. I used corn cob material for years and then I switched over to walnut to see if it got my primer pockets cleaner…it didn’t. I also noticed that walnut produced a fine dust that stayed on the cases after processing. Not a big deal, but I had to blow them off with a compressor afterward. I went back to corn cob to eliminate this step. wet tumbling with pins gets the pockets clean but that method is a bit more labor intensive and since I really only reload straight walled pistol cases, I plan on sticking with the corn cob for now.
  10. If you don’t intend on ever going fully automated, the 750 is a very good option. With the case and Mr bullet feeder I can load 100 in under 5 minutes. If you MAY go automated in the future, 1050 would be a better option. the 550 is great but with manual indexing and bullet feeding, it’s quite a bit slower.
  11. I’ve run quite a lot of these, but I ran 3.2 of TG. No experience with the N320.
  12. As others have said, I have found that the plated bullets keep the comp the cleanest. I would assume JHPs would do the same. I just loaded up some 115 gr blue bullets on top of 4.6 gr of WAC as well as 125 gr blue on top of 3.6 grains of titegroup. During my tests I liked the second load a lot better and felt recoil was much better than the WAC load so I’m going to stick with the TG load for now. I’m interested to see if I have the same issues with the compensator as others.
  13. I just use the spray on liquid chalk by Progrip and find it helps a LOT. I didn't use it for years, instead i just rubbed my hands on my pants prior to the buzzer going off. This may be a little OCD, but I've found that using D-Wipes to clean off your hands every few stages and then applying the grip enhancer works very well. You end up with some chalk on your gun/clothes/gear/car/etc., but our hobby isnt a clean one anyway so no worries there. TBH i don't love the manual pump dispenser, and wouldn't buy it again in that type, but overall its a very useful product.
  14. Im running this holster with a beastcat. No issues with fitting but takes some adjustment time to get it right.
  15. Now i see you mentioned the SA trigger in the original post. Very interesting pistol for sure.
