  1. Hey Bud did you receive the Redding Expander? Did it fit over primer station and clear primer bracket? Please keep us updated. I just got a CNC Toolhead and I am looking to buy something either this one or Lyman M. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What are the folks with CNC Toolheads using over Swage and over Primer stations? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Wow lots of nice discussion on this thread, I’m kind of sad I wasn’t getting alerts to all these updates! Well my RL1100 is automated now and running just great! I’ll work on some pics and updates. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Hello folks here is a start to finish video I put together shortly after setting up my RL1100 with all the right goodies to trim down .223/5.56 cases into 300BLKOUT. I am extremely impressed with this setup. No this is NOT cheaper than the Dillon Precision RT-1500 although it is much more powerful. This setup powers right through the brass with zero slowdown. I am using a $13.00 carbide end mill that I got off of eBay and I hope to upgrade to a boring bar in the near future. Everything went together just fine except for the Trimmer exhaust manifold as it does not fit well with the Dillon Precision RL1100 toolhead washer so I had to slightly modify to fit. It's not pretty and I am replacing but it'll do for now! Parts List is on YouTube, please like and subscribe - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAEyciY2yURkD6JOvYjQjLw/ Please check out the video and ask any questions you may have! I appreciate the view, questions and likes! Thank You! Please Follow Me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/spartan.armament
  5. Bro did you have to modify your OP Toolhead? I just got my processing Toolhead from them and it won’t slide onto the Ram. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I received my FW Arms Decapping and Swage Foot Dies yesterday and super impressed with the quality. Unfortunately I have not used them yet as Dillon has not had any RL1100 Short Trim Die Toolheads in stock. After doing much research I came across an aftermarket toolhead made by On Point Manufacturing, LLC. I called them up on Tuesday, spoke to Mike and asked a few questions. He informed me that they probably had 1 unit left and he would get back to me later that day... he didn't. I followed up the next day and he stated he was going to check on availability and get back to me in an hour. That hour turned in to 8 and late Wednesday he told me it was in fact available and ready to ship out next day. Thursday morning I placed the order, submitted payment and advised Mike via text that it was done. He responded that he was on his way to the shop and would ensure the order was processed, shipped and he would confirm later that day. I never heard from them so I texted this morning and got zero response the entire day. I'm not impressed by these guys and hope I didn't get scammed! I could've purchased the RL1050 Short Trim Die Toolhead and been done with it as DP does have those in stock. Instead I decided to give small business the sale and now I regret it. Anyone have any direct transactions with these folks? I do not believe I am being unreasonable all I want is for them to follow through with their promise or provide me an update as to why they are not able to fulfill a promise they made. Well for now we can admire these bad boys!
  8. Hey Guys are you all using this Toolhead on a 1050 or 1100? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks All and Thanks to M700 for the camera idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Here's a full pic of the Reloading/Work Bench. It's 2' Deep and 12' Long. It stands very tall at 44" I believe, don't recall exactly at the moment. The XL650 on a 4" Inline Micro Ultramount allows me to reach the handle with my arm completely horizontal while standing. I also purchased (and sold) the same mount for my RL1100 but it sat way too tall and I decided to mount direct to bench which was much better.
  11. Thank You! It's a custom built workbench that a local handyman made for me last year. It is framed using 2"x6" on all sides and cross members. It is secured directly to the studs in the wall and supported by 4 legs using 4"x6" pressure treated lumber. The top is 3/4" plywood with a thinner mdf underneath. I am very pleased with the construction as it's rock solid, doesn't move and he even built in an existing Craftsman roller drawer cabinet I already had plus some shelves in the middle.
  12. I will be whenever I can find an RL1100 Short Trim Die Toolhead in stock. I have everything else already. Going to be using the Honey Badger setup with a Bosch 1617EVS. I went with the Whidden Die because it’s the only one I can find. I’m going to try it and if it’s not what I expected I’ll upgrade to Dillon’s once they get this carbide issue figured out. 13. HogRider, I appreciate the feedback! Dies: - Dillon Size/Decap - Dillon Swage Backer - MBF Powder Funnel - Dillon Seating - Lee 9mm Factory Crimp Die I know it looks really smooth but the MBF powder funnel definitely hangs on to many cases. I tried a polish and while better it still sticks way more than I’d like. As you saw in the YT Info section I do use the Brass Juice Case Wash and Case Lube. 2 best products ever and I totally recommend. Lube smells amazingly great! Please check out my Instagram as I have a lot more content on there. For the Mods I’m just a regular guy not a business and none of this is for profit.
  14. Put together this little video to show the RL1100 in action this past weekend. The footage from the right side of the machine is when I first set it up prior to adjusting the timing. All the left hand side content is with machine dialed in as best as I know. This machine was just purchased and installed 2 weeks ago and I'm still learning this platform. Check out the video and provide me some feedback! Please Follow Me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/spartan.armament
  15. I settled on this and put back together yesterday afternoon. 24 Hours of dry time and it looks good. Let's see how it works... if no go it appears easy enough to remove.
  16. I appreciate all the feedback I am going to start with a bead of clear silicon and see how that works out. If it doesn't last I'll try some 2-part epoxy.
  17. Hey folks need some insight on the best adhesive so that I may put my Mr. Bulletfeeder Dropper Assembly back together. I've only had it about 4 months and the glue/silicon they use at the factory has come undone. I noticed the clear tube was coming out as the assembly dropped as I was returning to normal position after downstroke. After further inspection I noticed both sides were coming undone so I finished the job, removed the left over material and now I need to put it back together. I picked up this tube of Gorilla Glue but I can go buy anything else recommended. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you use? Thanks in advance!
  18. Hello Folks looking for a solution as well! The 9mm MBF powder funnel is sticking horribly with every powder drop on my RL1100. It has removed the smoothness of the reloading process on this new rig. It was not this bad on my 650. I even tried polishing the MBF powder funnel. I wet tumble and use Brass Juice Pistol Case Lube. 20. My RL1100 is up and running right next to it's "older" but smaller and slower Brother! Coming from the XL650 the learning curve is definitely much steeper but I am getting the hang of it. Lots to learn and that's why I'm here! I have only been reloading for 1 1/2 years and I am Blessed to have these beautiful tools sitting up on my reloading bench. I am super duper impressed with Double Alpha Academy. I had placed an order for an RL1100 with Graf and Sons at the end of April and was well aware of the 14+ day wait for it to even be shipped. On the evening of Thursday, May 7th I was at home surfing and looking for in stock availability of the RL1100 at other vendors when I came across the DAA site. They showed a model in .40S&W in stock and I proceeded to create an account and add to cart. I thought about it and figured I'd verify true availability first and cancel my order with Graf's first. I called DAA in the morning and a lady confirmed that in fact it was in stock and they had only 1. Since I had added the press to my cart the night before in my e-mail was a coupon code for 5% or $50 max savings off any item. I logged back into DAA, added the item and my coupon code and submitted my purchase. I saved over $210.00 vs. Graf's as I did not pay any taxes on the machine plus the $50 discount from the code. They shipped the machine Same Day and it was at my door step the following Thursday, May 14th. I do not load .40S&W so I procured the 9mm and .223 Conv Kits from Kimball @ Bobcat. I also ordered the matching 4" UltraMount from Dan @ Inline but since my bench is already tall the machine sat way too high for me. I mounted direct and it's working great, so so smooth!
  21. Good Morning Folks! Spartan Armament here from the LoneStar State! Looking to learn a lot more about matches and reloading. I only reload at the moment. Dillon Precision RL1100 and XL650!
