  1. Lesson 2 learned. Make sure your gun likes the ammo you plan to feed it. My Beretta could eat blazer all day. My CZ regurgitate it all match. It ran S&B perfect, but I ran it all during break in. I spent 8 stages learning how to clear failures. Its probably good my first match didn't go smoothly.
  2. My first competition is tomorrow. I went to the range today. My holstering and reloads are good. I'm shooting ok at speed. But the most important thing I learned is that it a terrible idea to mess with a working gun the night before your first shoot. After launching the new return spring, and the old return spring, across the shop, I'm smarter now. On a positive note, my shop is spotless, and I will be shooting tomorrow.
  3. Thanks. My holster showed up today and I went to the basement and practiced drawing and reloading. My point of aim seems pretty good so far. I purchased steel and silhouette targets to practice on as soon as I am allowed to get outside.
  4. What part of Michigan? I'm going to try my first matches this summer. I'm located in Midland.
  5. I have a Beretta that I've got pretty good with. I have a Shadow 2 that I haven't got a chance to shoot yet because they shut down our sportsman's club due to the virus. I have read the rules that would apply to me and the equipment I plan to use. It's the little things I hope to pick up here. I just hope this all clears up soon so I can get to some matches.
  6. I'm new here too. Where in Michigan are you from?
  7. Hello all, I'm new here. Hopefully I'll be able to try some USPSA matches this year, and I hope to pick up some advice here. I have never even watched a pistol match, so my first time is going to be even worse than my first time. Any pointer will be appreciated.
