In that case it does sound like your S2 is looser than most. Now you’ll have to take the 75 and S2 to the range together and compare accuracy.

Mine has a little play both side to side and up and down, but it’s not excessive and is much better than my 75B. It is also consistent front to rear.

Anyone notice any other updates from the gun shown back in ~2020 aside from the DLC coated barrel?

This was back in 2020 and took between 3 and 4 weeks if I recall correctly. One thing to note about hard chroming a CZ: The frames are cast so there is a possibility of finding a few small pinholes (voids from the casting process). The factory polycoat is thick and fills everything in, while hard chrome is a very thin layer. I sent a Shadow 2 and an 85 Combat to APW for hard chrome, and the owner Bob Cogan called me to let me know the Shadow 2 frame had two or three very tiny pinholes on the right side of the frame. He informed me that they could attempt to buff them out but that can open a can of worms if the void ends up being bigger under the surface, so I told him to just let them go. They are super tiny but it's just something to be aware of. On the other hand the 85 Combat frame was perfect.

+1 for Accurate Plating & Weaponry, they hard chromed my S2 frame quickly for a good price.

A CZ rep at the show was answering questions via their instagram page. Her answer to a DWX question reiterated what CZ has said previously: “promotion” is halted but they are committed to bringing the gun to market

IFG shared an instagram post a few days ago of their 6” Gold Match and it says “Gold Match have hit the states.” I’d just try calling IFG, they’ll be able to connect you to a dealer.

I called IFG a few weeks ago to see if they stocked the “Match” which is basically the same as the “Witness Match Elite” as far as I can tell aside from the rear sight. They told me “we stock all of Tanfoglio’s models” and to check the IFG website. However if you compare the Tanfoglio Italy site to the IFG site, obviously at the moment IFG is not listing everything from Tanfo. I think over time they will but as of right now they are missing a few, including the Match and the Hunter, although they do list the Gold Match which is another 6” gun.

Looks awesome. Who makes those grips?

2 weeks ago they announced the Green will be coming over, but nothing on the Bronze yet. I’m sure that one will be coming over too, in time.

It was mentioned in the thread previously but per their instagram, they have “decided to halt promotion of the DWX” until it meets “the standards that we have set and that our customers deserve.” I’m guessing the gun is just not ready for mass production and so instead of leaving it up on the site and getting hundreds of phone calls and emails every week asking when it’ll be available, they are just going dark on it until it’s closer to/ready for production

I have heard the Limcat grips are pretty slim

I have always been intrigued by their offerings but have read too many negative experiences (especially with their less expensive stuff) to ever consider one, unfortunately.

I have used Accurate Plating & Weaponry for 2 frames and 1 slide (CZ) and I was pleased with the quality, price, and turnaround time.

From the teaser pics it’s looking like a sub/micro compact and maybe something aimed more toward competition… both polymer

Limcat also makes a stainless grip. No personal experience but I have read they feel good in the hand .

I have one installed in both an 85 Combat and a Shadow 2. Have not shot from a rest to really compare accuracy but barrel play at the muzzle is reduced to basically zero and I am more accurate with both guns than with my standard-bushing 75. Install was simple and straightforward although the 85 took a little extra elbow grease to get the stock bushing out, and the 85 barrel also now requires a little effort to remove from the slide (I have not done any fitting on the CGW bushing). for $60 I say its worth it. Also when I did the work on my Shadow 2 I had roughly 1000 rounds through the gun. The stock bushing was already damaged. The CGW piece is definitely a stronger, more durable part.

The model I’m looking for has the same 4.5” bull barrel as the Stock II. The Limited Pro guns have a longer slide/non-bull barrel.
