Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I have the CZC holster for my LD. Very rattley despite good retention. Has anyone trying putting Velcro (just loops) in holster to reduce rattle?
  2. Any recommendations on how to go about fixing support hand grip? I have same issue and am trying to increase grip strength.
  3. I’m in a similar boat. I met my goals last year and won my division nationally in rifle competition. This year I’ve been far less motivated to shoot. Even when shooting well, I haven’t been having fun. I’m taking a break from long range rifle. Maybe try IDPA or USPSA and motorcycles. If I never return to rifle then oh well.
  4. Did not know they built the oranges. Certainly gives them providence as the build quality on the oranges has been very impressive.
  5. For those with A01 pistols, how tight was the slide frame fit? My A01-LD came in yesterday and there was a good amount play on slide frame. Significantly looser than my TSO or Shadow 2 Orange. Rattles a good bit when shaking gun.
  6. I have a A01-LD RDS with CZC optic cut on way. I am wondering what the best (cleanest) optic options are. Particularly looking for plates with a rear sight to cowitness. I seen these on the CZC site but none seem to have a rear sight: https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/red-dot-mounting/cz-custom-rds-plate-system.html Also wondering what optics fit the cut best as most I’ve seen have a significant gap in front of the optic. I used multiple red dots (RMR/SRO/DPP/Holosun/etc.) and all have worked for me. Mainly looking for what mounts best with buis. Any recommendations?
  7. I have one on the way as well. Trying to decide what optic. The cut is pretty long and looks a bit weird with most optics.
  8. Optic or irons? If optic have you checked for parallax? I have a DPP that has no parallax at 10 yards but at 25 it’s enough to affect accuracy. My SRO does not have parallax at 25 yards. With the SRO on my Shadow 2 Orange I have gotten 10 round groups of 1” at 25 yards. Rested of course. Slightly different since it has a 1911 style bushing but I wouldn’t expect the standard model to be significantly worse.
  9. So I went through it again. I did find a broken firing pin spring, but doubt that would affect DA pull. Lubed everything up again and put a brand new CGW 13lb spring in. Issue seems to be resolved. Doubt it was the firing pin spring but could have been the extra lube. I think cycling the slide pushes the bar down. The two polished tabs on the bar sit in the recess in the slide so maybe the slide moving causes the bar to move in a way just pulling the trigger doesn't? Not sure, just speculating. I also tested my Lyman digital gauge against a friend's. Only on a Staccato P. His showed 3.5lb whereas mine read 3.0. So maybe my gauge is off.
  10. So I haven't had time to take it apart again, but I did do some dry firing. I'm thinking you guys are on to something about the trigger bar and spring. The trigger pull is nice and light at first, but after about 5 or 6 pulls, the weight starts to go up. If I cycle the slide, it basically resets and goes to a nice light pull again. Currently has a 11lb mainspring, Average of 10 DA pulls is 4lb 9oz. Fairly consistent if I rack slide between pulls. If I don't rack between pulls, the weight consistently increases and goes all the way to 9lb. So cycling the slide is doing something to reset it.
  11. This is the orange version so a lot of polishing has already been done. I went 3k rounds with about a 6lb DA and 2.1lb SA. It does have the CGW reduced power trigger return spring.
  12. Thanks, will give that a try. Any chance the hammer pin could be slightly bent?
  13. I've already pulled everything out and reassembled. Hammer, sear cage, trigger, etc.
  14. I am having extremely inconsistent pulls with my Shadow 2 Orange. With a 13lb mainspring, I'm getting DA pull weights from 5.5lbs to 9.5 lbs. Very noticeable when dry firing. I've had 3k rounds through the gun until this and never had an issue. I've changed mainsprings (lighter and heavier) as well as completely torn down and cleaned frame with no help. I'm not 100% sure, but it seems like the hammer is binding on something. When the hammer is cocked and I pull down on it more, it definitely binds. If I do this on my TSO, it hits a hard stop. Anyone run into this issue before?
  15. Will the gray guns kit prevent the X5 legion from being used in USPSA Production or IDPA SSP?
