  1. Is there a calculator that has PCC on it?

The one I know doesn't.  Just shot a Classifer match today and want to see where I stand before the update is run...I'm impatient [emoji3]

There is a new classification calculator on the USPSA website. You will find it on your classification record page. They do have pic separate.

  2. Any interest at all in creating an Iron sight only PCC class ?

Maybe make it an M4 A2 sight only.

Kinda like a Production Class PCC.

Definite Mag round limit # for discussion. Maybe say 10 or 20

USPSA could call it PCCI...or PCCP for production

Seems to me the optic version of PCC is becoming a youth foot race........some of us old farts(me) would like to even the field a bit.

As someone that has match director and stats duties, no! As an old fart myself, I'm using optics because I can't see the iron sights as well as I used to. Sorry.

  3. I have one that I has the same problem. Last time I had it out I was checking mags dropping free. I had to smack them to seat them and they would not drop. I tried it with just the lower and they went in easily and would drop free. I inserted the mag into the bottom of the upper and they would stick. I tried mags from more than 1 manufacturer. I have not taken the time to take any measurements yet. I do expect to find the opening undersized. I have not contacted NFA about this yet. I wanted to have measurements first.

  4. One possibility is to continue to use the current Access database, but add a TSV or CSV export so the transfer of data into EzWinScore will use a standard interface, rather than open an ODBC connection and stuff data into the tables directly.

This will be easier (few people actually know how to do the ODBC hackery with the current utility), and force the data through a single supported interface that includes data validation. It would also mean that USPSA HQ would be using an officially supported method of importing registration data rather than a procedure that would be considered dis-recommended and unsupported if done by one of our clubs.

Any recent updates on how soon we might have this available? We got our 1st registration in for 2012 Area 5 match today.

  5. Hi I am hosting a match this Saturday and I will be using USPSA scoring. I need to have some score sheets that can handle up to 20 paper targets. Anyone know a quick online source. The software won't generate multi gun score sheets.

    Thanks in advance.

    Pat

It's not online but! Do you have access to an EzWinScore CD? There is a folder on the CD named "ScoreSheets", filename "IPSCScoreSheets2_3".

I popped in 20 IPSC targets and it spit out a scoresheet. Prior to using the Palm scoring I used this regularly and used it for the Area 5 match this year.

Thanks I do have Ezwin. I am new to using the program and it told me it would not make multigun score sheets. I will try the tap you suggested.

    Pat

It is not the Ezwin program. It is an Excel sheet on the CD! Dale

  7. Online registration deadline... The cutoff for online registration will be June 6th at midnight. The registration will disappear from the Quinn site at that time. Self squadding will end June 7th.

This is your last chance to get in the match...

The online squadding is set to lock down on June 7th.

I combined some small squads tonight and moved a few around to facilitate the match flow. Everyone that was squadded together was moved together.

Some stage construction started today. In the countdown mode. See you next week.

  8. Match book is very good.

Thanks for the generous registration window on Friday afternoon for Saturday shooters... that will help take a little stress out of Saturday morning. As I read it, the stages will be available for inspection until 8:30pm Friday, is that correct?

Jim did great job on the match book! Not sure where the 8:30pm time came from. I just checked the schedule of events and the registration ends at 7pm. With the all the time we will have put in by then I think we will be wanting to lock up and get out of there for the day.

    Hi Dale,

You are correct it shows reg from 1:00 - 7:00 on Friday and that is a very generous window. Up under the "Time to Shoot" heading it says "range is closed to all regular competitors prior to the scheduled match opening June 10th, 2010, and daily after 8:30 p.m", so I just wanted to verify that meant we could inspect stages after registration up until 8:30 Fri evening.

You are corret too. I do believe that is something we didn't catch in the proofreading. There might be someone there till then but don't count on anything later than 7pm. It is 20 - 30 min to the respective hotels plus dinner, the night will turn into morning very quickly. See you next week.

  10. Well since we are on squadding and numbers. Can I ask another question?

Why does sqd 201 & 301 show reserved/full, with no one squadded??

Just for future reference, is it possible to reserve a entire squad in advance if you are bringing a full squad with you??

I also notice that if you click on most of the competitors names thier classifications are shown. I did run across a few that show no classifications, but if you run thier USPSA number it shows up??

Yes, since I shoot three divisions I was looking at the field before deciding on which division to shoot.

At big matches it is common to block off a squad in one place or another at the match directors discretion. This is usually done for the Super Squad. If you want to have a whole squad shoot together, you need to get your apps in early. With the online registration, it's very easy to have everyone sign up at the same time and request to be on the same squad. We can set you all on available squads or you can squad yourself, hence the system.

As to what shows and does not, there is nothing I can do for that, it's a USPSA deal and what it is is what it is. I will not release any competitor information for any purpose. (I'm not saying you are requested that data it's a reiteration) I'm treating all their data as if it was my own... that means other than saying this big dog or that will be there, I am mum. Also, there are times when they may request not to be listed or confirmed as attending. If they do, no mention of them will be made nor will they show in the matrix.

Now I need to go practice, so any more Qs will have to wait. smile.gif

A little more info on missing classifications from an administration standpoint. Some of the apps coming in don't list their classification, a few aren't even classified yet. At this point in the match I don't get terribly worried about that. As has been mentioned on earlier threads, about a week before the match the online registration will be locked, it will be sent to USPSA for verification of membership, classification etc. Up until that time you would be allowed to contact me and change the division you want to shoot.

G-ManBart's explanation of the Super Squad is pretty good. I might add that when they are competing together it brings out the competitiveness in them and they will usually shoot a better match.

    Hope this helps.

  11. 2 all day Saturday slots left! 14 Saturday PM/Sunday AM Slots available. 110 registered shooters already.

We are working on staffing and stages right now. We can use some RO's. We are prefrencing those within an hour of the range and those that can work the entire match, palm scoring experience is a plus. If you are interested in working the match you can download a staff application on the match website: a5match.info.

We will welcome any stages that you would like to submit for consideration.

    Thanks for your support

  12. how is the online squadding working? I think Im gonna be able to make this one and will be signing up soon, but how do I figure out the days that are open?

Here is the link to the match squadding page http://www.uspsa.org/squadding/index.php?action=list&indx=121

Paste that in your browser and you will be able to see what is available. As of right now there are 7 all day sat slots open.
