  1. Plate systems are nothing like dovetail mounts which are an absolute garbage mounting system. The best method is direct mount to the slide as long as the optic bumps up against the back and front of the slide cut. Next is the plate system that allows you options. All I was pointing out is width is not a requirement as long as you can secure the optic/plate to the slide. As mentioned they are using that excuse to market their aftermarket slide. It is not required to use that optic.
  2. To me this seems like a marketing gimmick to say you have to buy our slide to make that optic work. Width does not matter as long as you can screw the optic/adapter plate to the slide. The most important issues with mounting slide ride optics is the forward and back shear force. Slide cuts and/or lugs need to keep the optic in place. Not the screws. If there are only screws taking all of the forward and rearward lateral force they will shear. FTP's adapter plate looks like it would work just fine.
  3. Sorry for about your condition @rowdyb. I personally have a competitive itch that needs to be scratched. Maybe check around for leagues for sports you like to play. Not sure if your condition would work with that, but you most likely would not be putting others risk in that environment. Maybe some martial art like Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu has a puzzle aspect similar to USPSA if that is one of the things that drew you to USPSA. I used to do this at a fairly high level. Off road RC racing has essentially became F1 racing in that you had to heat your tires to be on pace. That's when I called it quits. If you personality allows you to be average you don't have to heat your tires for Off Road, but if you have the desire to compete depending on your local tracks you are essentially racing F1 cars Off Road. There are a lot of other types of RC that have become pretty popular. Rock crawling is one of them. Its pretty crazy the type of rigs you can design and build.
  4. Yes. Keep in mind you cannot switch back and forth during a match. You have to declare before the match starts. If you declared Major and then ran a stage with 9-10 the magazine you would be switched to minor for the entire match.
  5. Sorry, I should have mentioned this. I am sure some do this so they can run the same platform in Minor or Major.
  6. This is correct. This is to try and create competitive equity between Minor and Major in SS. Everyone shoots major, unless there is a crazy match where having 10 rounds would make a huge difference which to my understanding is very rare. I have heard of some that have both 9mm and 40 to have the ability to shoot Minor or Major for any given match.
  7. How much does it typically run for one gun?

It is hard to go back to any other P320 Grip.

Feels like there is a lot more to grip onto.
  10. Yea that decision makes zero sense, but I have come to expect that.
  11. I purchased Federal Magnum small pistol primers for $5.75/100 and CCI Small Rifle primers for $6.75/100 at a local retailer yesterday. It seems price changes might be coming sooner than later. At least it seems there is evidence it is possible.
  12. Good point but I do not know for certain if that is the case. I do not use PayPal for other reasons. Closed my account a couple of months ago.
  13. Not sure if this would be the correct place for this. If it is not moderators please move to the appropriate forum. I have not seen any reference to this and please keep the political commentary out of the thread as per forum guidelines. The US Gov. passed legislation last year that makes PayPal and Venmo report any Transaction of $600 or more to the IRS. PayPal and Venmo are forced to send the user receiving funds from this transaction a 1099k. This is so the IRS can track these transactions and tax them. It is my understanding that ignoring a 1099K from these entities will trip an automatic audit as these entities are reporting these transactions to the IRS. So they have records of these transactions. It is also my understanding once you reach $600 in smaller transactions the cumulative total will be reported to the IRS and the receiver of these payments will then be issued a 1099K. The IRS has made it incredibly hard to report used items that you sell which you have already paid taxes on. I am not going to get into this as I will leave it up to members of this forum top do their own homework. As most of the individuals I have done commerce with on this forum is using PayPal and Venmo as a primary means of payment I thought I would make everyone aware of these changes. The other part of this is these changes have been implemented for the 2022 Tax year. From someone in the know, I have been informed that Zelle does not make these reports so I will be using that moving forward. Maybe something for forum membership to consider.
  14. A serious question here without any bias involved in these question. Please answer honestly as I will defer to those being around USPSA way longer than I have. Is the reason that 2011s dominate Limited and Open due to the nature of Major PF? The reason I ask this is you see many people in these two divisions that have been here for years if not over a decade. We see many try other platforms but they do not seem to work out for one reason or another for the most part but that does seem to be changing in Limited. I think we are seeing that due to having more options in striker fired guns that are high capacity and are coming out in .40. Plus a couple of guys are most likely getting PAID $$$$ to shoot those platforms. I also ask is do we have truly a good representation of a division of High round count, minor and SA triggers allowed and if 2011s would dominant that division? I would say the answer to those questions are obvious. While I agree there may be a situation that many current CO shooters might switch to a 2011 platform in CO if SA triggers were allowed, I do not say we can say that would happen for certain or happen immediately. I could see a situation for those that stick around for more than 2-3 years they would migrate to a 2011 platform. I cannot see that for the transient participants, nor those who are on low dollar budgets. How much of the membership actually sticks around for more than 3 years actively shooting from year to year?
  15. Slide ride optics on 2011s is relatively new, no?
  16. If you have interest in purchasing the Blitzkrieg, let me know I have one I will be putting up on here soon. I also have a Roller delayed one up for sale in the classifieds. I think it comes down to personal preference. I preferred the roller delayed buffer system over the Hydraulic one, but I will say I did not spend a ton of time tuning the Hydraulic one in my GMR15. Good luck in your search.
  17. Wow. I was not even coming at you like that. Sorry you took it that way. I agreed with almost everything you had to say except you seem to contradict yourself. Just pointing that out as it was confusing to me. My comment about selling all of my CO guns was a serious one. If LO is a thing I intend to shoot that and not so much CO anymore as I enjoy shooting 2011s way more. If LO does become a thing I think I would wait to see what it looks like before ordering any gun, to make sure whatever gun I did buy could play in LO. My comments were not intended to be troll like but I cant tell you how to take stuff.
  18. I agree with a lot of what you are saying but I am curious about how these two comments seem to contradict. and Why does this bother you when your hand gun does not compete against "Rifles"? Otherwise, what you are telling me is to start selling all of my spare CO, PCC guns to fund a new SA 2011.

Yes that is a better description. I forgot about the mag capacity difference.
  20. I can shut down all of the equipment just by powering down the power strip on the bottom of the main loading bench. Here is where that MBF speed control is mounted. It is a work in progress I have not finalized the room, and need to tidy up the wiring on the bottom of the bench.
