  1. Looking amazing! Love the way Don's polished flats come out — always looks stellar no matter the finish.
  2. Their re-stock time seems to shift from season to season. I wouldn't be surprised if it is different by now; way back when I was lurking hard to buy them the re-stock window was 1pm-3pm Mountain Time, but that was a few years ago. Agreed that PD is the way to go; availability is infinitely better at the moment, price and quality is comparable. If you're hell bent on going with MG, try to find out what time they've been re-stocking recently within the past few weeks or months, as the re-stock window does seem to shift often.
  3. The water droplet sound effect got me.
  4. Yeah I'm not quite sure. The Everglades and Safariland were very popular and well liked "top" race holster offerings these past few years, it's sad that they're so difficult to come by these days!
  5. Sorry about that. Did a quick google search and saw some available. My mistake, did not notice that the only ones available were LHD!
  6. The Everglades MRH felt great and would be worth jumping on if you find one available later. The Safariland 015 is also a great option if you're looking for something readily available *right now*.
  7. ^ This gentleman is likely to humble to say so himself, but donnyglock IS most definitely one of said better choices. I don’t think anyone has ever regretted going with a Venom Custom.
  8. I'm also NJ, and personally went with the 155's. Reason being is that I rivet them so that they are NJ compliant, but can still utilize them in PA or MD at full capacity when needed without too much effort.
  9. Cheers, sent it on a case, thanks much!
  10. My uneducated guess would be that the V2's don't expand as well as the V1's given the lack of skives at the tip of the jacket — seems like a target/competition focused profile.
  11. I'm the same way. Btw, apparently the PD V1 JHP's have decent expansion characteristics — this was posted by @Ssanders224 in a different thread years ago: "Fired into calibrated 10% ballistic gelatin, through FBI spec “heavy cloth” barrier. 13” of penetration."
  12. Understanding that your post may have likely been rhetorical, incase it wasn't: It was pretty much the same situation — all the well-regarded JHP manufacturers were pretty close in terms of cost in 2019. For 124gr JHPs, I think PD was 8.8 cpr back then and MG was the same 9.6 cpr that it is today. I don't remember what RMR or Everglades were cpr-wise, on account of immediately eliminating them from consideration after calculating them to be more expensive than PD and MG (not by much, but I figured why bother paying even a fraction more when PD and MG's were available for less and already top-flight). Nowadays, PD is 10.6 cpr and MG remains at 9.6 cpr. They've flip flopped on who is the cheapest out of the two, but are still within 1 cpr of each other. I think the majority of reloaders consider both brands to be of excellent quality and on par with each other, so outside of brand preference (seems as though there is a decent amount of badblood among the community with regard to MG as a business) I'd imagine that for many people it just comes down to cost and availability. For JHPs, MG availability was significantly better than PD during 2020. No idea about 2021 as I never looked. PD availability seems significantly better than MG for 2022 so far.
  13. Oh absolutely. The price difference isn't too significant either, 1-3 cents per round maximum between MG, PD, RMR, and Everglades. It's great to even have in-stock options available given how scarce components have been lately. I'm thankful to have loaded up on everything back in the early days of the pandemic.
  14. While they're all quality products, MG has been cheaper per round than Everglades, Precision Delta, and RMR for JHPs since 2020 (when bought by the case or largest quantity increment offered). Took a quick look just now and that seems to still be the case.
  15. Ahh, gotcha. I was 2nd BN but I remember you from the '18 RSMA — I was ANARCHY14. Cool to see that you're running your own shop now man, best of luck with the business!
  16. Haha right on. I think we may have crossed paths at some point actually. Were you a JTAC and/or involved with the JTAC det? Apologies if not, it has been some years and I may be confusing you with someone with a similar last name.
  17. Cheers brotha, while I'm perfectly fine with it as is, I do appreciate the offer!
  18. Can confirm, mine is left of center. It doesn't bother me, so I'm not going to have it milled.
  19. What a find! Enjoy!!!
  20. Correct, that is exactly what I was referring to with my question. I'll have to take a look at my blaster when I get home to see if/how off-center my Everglades mount is. I don't remember if I specifically asked Don to mill it down to center it for me when I had it built.
  21. I'm also in a 10rd state; the rivets in the 155 MBX mags are the go-to solution imo!
  22. Seems MG has shifted their release times from back when I was buying in bulk. Would definitely have gone with Precision Delta, RMR, or Everglades without a second thought if it weren't for the price advantage of MG.
  23. They don't restock all bullet types every days, so 9mm JHP's end up being maybe only 2-3x a week despite there being a daily restock of something each day. That was back then, I'm not sure how it is now.
  24. The window of opportunity a few months ago was only 3 to 8 minutes or so during the week that I managed to get orders placed, makes sense that it's a much much more competitive race to checkout nowadays.
