    G17 RTF

I got one of the new G17 RTF's yesterday, feels better than my other G17. Plan to put Dawson Adjustable sights on it Monday. I did notice that it locked up tighter then my other gun, it was almost as tight as my son's G34. I plan on getting a G34 RTF when they come out too.
  2. I shoot lead 180 loaded with 3.5 of T. G. at 1.135 oal for a power factor of 139, and it shoots .79" 5 shot groups at 15yds, and 1-1.2" at 25yds. You can use WST and may smoke a little less, and also 3.8gr WSF same bullet .
  3. Thanks for the chart. Do you have any data for Clays? 2.7 is the max with Clays and it wouldn't cycle my M&P Pro with a stock spring. I'd avoid clays with the 147s. I'm shooting it in my pro with the stock springs, cycles just fine with 2.5 of clays at 1.105 OAL. I've used it for the steel match and had no problems. Power factor was 117. My load for production will be 3.6 of WSF. 130 pf

    FIRST GSSF MATCH

Ed this was my second match, I took 3rd. Last year I was 14th, what an improvement. I had a great time and my son did too, he was 10th in competition. He should have shot my 17. Can't wait till next year, think I'll practice more with my G17 this year, I usually only shoot it for the glock match, and fire it the week before to practice.

  8. Loaded up some S&S casting 147 LFP with Power Pistol, WSF, Clays and Tightgroup powder. I benched it in my EAA Limited at 25yds as I don't have inserts for this gun for my Ransom Rest. What was amazing was that with WSF powder, my groups were all between 2.32 and 2.35 for an average of 3-10 shot groups at 25yds. Power Pistol was more accurate, but Power Factor was a lot higher also. My mouse fart load was with 2.5grs of Clays, the standard deviation for 30 rounds was a 7. Accuracy was less than 3 inches at 25yds. I attached a jpg chart if anyone wants to see what I did.
  9. 4.7 gr of T.G. 200 gr lswc @ 1.250 WW cases and primers shot 1" 25 yd group in my Wilson 5" Classic
  10. Here is my Clays data with 147 MBC bullet.
  11. The 124 JHP's are new, they aren't on the website, I called and asked and at that time (about 3 weeks ago) they were behind a few days on shipping. It took about a week to get them in. They were $78 per K when I ordered them. I'm loading 4.0 of T. G. at 1.12 for a P.F. of 130. I tried 5.0 of WSF the other day it was more accurate but the P. F. was 138, 5.4 of Power pistol is also accurate but P.F is 138 also.
  12. Here is some data that might help you. If you do a search for my post, you'll find way more spreadsheet data for loads I worked up for 9mm and .40
  13. I have an LW in my 17 and 34, never had a problem with the chamber. I load 124 JHP from Precision Delta with 5.0 of WSF.
  14. 4.7 gr of tightgroup or 5.0 gr or VV320 loaded at 1.200 in my Brazos with Zero 180 JHP gives me a pf of 169-172
  15. Montana Gold 124 JHP, 121 IFP, Precision Delta 124 JHP, Zero 124 and 147 jhp's are fully enclosed base. JHP are more accurate than FMJ's.
  16. Decided to shoot 4.0 of T.G. with this bullet. Its accurate and has a p.f. of 130 which is what I like.
  17. We use 50/50 mix of vinegar and peroxide to clean the lead and residue out of our suppressors. But we let it soak for a couple of days and slosh the container a couple of times and the lead and residue is dissolved and the suppressors are clean. We rinse them off, dry them and put them back together.
  18. SA Friday, my experience with 9mm showed best accuracy was with slower powder, Blue Dot, 7625, Power Pistol, this is also in line with the results by Wiley Clapp in an article on how to get the most accuracy with 9mm. He got best bullseye accuracy with 6.0 of power pistol at 1.120 with a Hornady 124 JHP in a 6" Bullseye gun. 1" at 50 yds. My best so far is .791" at 25yds with Montana gold 124jhp at 1.12 with 6.0 of P.P. Vel was 1137 pf 141 That was in an EAA limited. I backed the load down to 5.4 P.P and has 130 pf and shoots 1.1" in G17, M&P Pro, and 1" in EAA.
  19. keyser, you were able to load out to 1.16 in a CZ? Thought they had a short freebore. My EAA limited can only go to 1.133 with PD 124 jhp.
  20. What weight bullet? 3.6 of 231 with a 147 makes minor, 4.2 with a 124 makes it too. Power Pistol is the most accurate powder I've used in 9mm. 5.4 gr with 124 jhp at 1.120 oal. Clays didn't work well for me. 9mm likes slower powders if you looking for accuracy.
  21. Received 4K of the new 124 jhp's at 78/k from precision delta, got them Monday. I posted chrono results from load I worked up today.
  22. I received my shipment of the new Precision Delta 124gr JHP's this week and loaded up a couple of powders and tested in my M&P pro and my EAA Limited. The attached jpg has the chrono and accuracy results using Tightgroup, and Power Pistol. Enjoy. edited: took out the N320 comment as this was for Zero 125 FMJ, not P.D. 124 sorry.
