Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Jim and crew will be there. Rodney? Look forward to shooting with you again
  2. Practice reloads while standing in a cold shower!
  3. Chris, We ARE NOT closing down Texas Roadhouse the night before like last time. We are on to you, just what percentage due you rake in from there? Jim has us shooting every weekend, so hopefully we will still have ammo for the match! If nothing else there is always the barbecue. Looking forward to what we all know will be an excellent match. Heading to Single Stack in the morning, Cliff
  4. How about that Rodney character? Jim is bringing a Missouri group. See you there! Cliff
  5. Drinking water was appreciated, but, the running water on the stages needs to go! Also, it was a long run to shelter from the far stages for the severe storm warning, glad I shot first. Awesome earth work put in by the staff to try to keep our feet dry. I understand on Thursday, when you dropped a mag it disappeared.
  6. It is a shame that a lot of the Local Clubs are very slow at submitting Classifiers, (if ever), so Slots will never be available for some. I attend as many big matches as I can because I LIKE the Sport, I LIKE the Majority of the people, and we all are given an equal chance to prove our selves. I know there are alot better shooters than me, but I'll never improve if I don't get the chance to try. Please do not change this event to where all can not play. Add another day so more can, but keep it to a one day format, so we don't have to use all of our vacation for just one event. Invite more sponsors and vendors, shipping just keeps going up. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to to offer free slots for a Juniors Squad? I would chip in! PROMOTE THE SPORT TO EVERYONE!!!!!
  7. I think it's cool that anyone can, perhaps, make it on the super squad and get to shoot with their heroes. I mean what other sport can you compete at the same venue and rub elbows with the big dogs? After I got home I said to a friend that one of the reasons that makes this sport so great is that you may wind up shooting with the best our sport has to offer. If you go and watch you can even ~gasp~ talk to them, providing you give them space when they need it. The only bitching about having lower class shooters on the squad, I heard, was from some of the other shooters. I didn't hear one complaint from the big dogs. On the whole I found them to be some of the nicest people I encountered at the match. Exactly my point! Oh, yeah those Big Dogs paste and paint just like us, well, maybe not as many white or black pasters
  8. There was an interesting “mix” of match participants. Here is where my inexperience comes into play, but it seemed that there were a lot of people that you would not expect to see at a USPSA National had it not been run in conjunction with the Single Stack Classic. I would think the match participants need to be determined on merit/slots and then a wait list, rather than a first come first served basis. This is one of our National Championships after all. Wow, Why do we lowly "C" class even spend our money, vacation, gas, to even come to shoot if we are not wanted. Why don't we just make it like Nascar were only the rich can play. I'd be alot better if I had someone elses pockets and the time to practice. I am only a lowly C that placed at 208th place, last year I placed at 204. But I gained a whole percentage point on TGO! Made me feel kind of good. BUT, if us everyday people aren't wanted at these type of events why even have them? If we limit it to the top one hundred, then they could shoot 13 stages a day, all weekend long, but who else would care? Who would be buying the Sponsors products? Why stop at the Nationals? Regionals? Sectionals? I could save thousands a year! If nobody below an "A" such as "C" and "U" were not allowed then, Sir, you would have placed 18 positions higher. My hat is off to the All of the Staff and Sponsors for allowing me the opportunity to play with the Big Dogs! Cliff Richards TY54874
  9. Politics? Is SHE gonna be there too? Cops from West side of Springfield is 110 miles. Almost all is I-44.Several of us people from Springfield do go there. Harrison, Arkansas also has a club that shoots second Sunday afternoons at a little closer distance. Jeff City is second Saturday but three hours, so is Lenexa, Kansas and Tulsa. All good Clubs and great people. DVC40JIM, it's great to have you home again! CliffR Springfield, MO
  10. Need classifiers!!!!! When and where are your Special Classifier Matches? CliffR
  11. Hey Bro, call me, my arm and shoulder offically trashed, jack barely helps me sleep. Doctor's permission to shoot, Only, if they really deserve it, but concedes if they are worth shooting once they deserve it twice. But, put caliber restriction. Jack say's I never could count and I'll probally be seeing double any way, what the hell, reload, it was only minor. 45 Elbow and cervical rib, At least it isn't a kidney and a 9lb tumor so maybe I can catch up with Marty.
  12. Nice avatar Where did you get that stock? Side note: My youngest son and I went thru one of Jim's AR classes right before my son deployed, (Navy). I slept alot better. Oh yeah, Jim's son was there too, and hasn't fallen far from the tree. Talk about two proud Dads. La Cerveza Mas Fina
  13. Oh, This post. Work has kept me busy. It's be a little over a year since we drank together and if the score is right, YOU OWE ME A COUPLE. Sure you can't convince her to let you come out to play that morning? I promise not to pop off a couple of rounds during your run just to see your diving ablities. Missed you Buddy
