Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. You can also just loctite it on, if you'd like...
  2. For the money? Ruger PCC. If you wing up not liking PCC, it's still a great little gun to have in a truck or as a backup. Throw a couple of mags and a dot on it and get to work.
  3. Because everyone has a slightly different way of building the 9mm PCC, they can be finicky and incompatible. As a bullet hose, an overweight buffer and stiff spring should get you there though for normal operation. The more you do to flatten out recoil, the more... gamer-ish the gun will become. Mine shoots great on splits with little dot movement, but I'm shooting a tailored load. I have a short stroke kit with an oversized plug so my hardware reciprocates even less than normal, my LRBHO isn't even installed in the gun (nor is my bolt stop). If you're wanting to spray and have some range fun, a Ruger PCC and a couple of cheap ETS Glock-pattern mags will yield you a low-recoiling, low-effort gun that's fun to shoot, utilitarian, and will eat anything you feed it. It's not the fastest in the world, but it's durable, cheap, accurate, and a great truck gun with the takedown feature.
  4. 510C, dot and ring, green illumination.
  5. I was shipped a green by mistake. It's much easier for me to pick up; since the first one I've begun switching to that color when available. It sounds like you're having the results of an eye condition; have you tried a fixed etched reticle to see if it's the glass screen causing it, or the lighting itself?
  6. Nothing but good luck in mine, once I changed bullet profiles. I was using xtreme loaded to 1.125, and was having issues loading the mags. Switched to Brazos 125RN, no problems.
  7. Holosun and trijicon are both good choices in two different pricing tiers. The burris ff3 is come down significantly with the announcement of the ff4, you should be able to pick up a new one for under $200 and a used one in the $140-160 range for a basic dot to see if you like it.
  8. Fulton Armory has a GI op rod, but at 314(!) dollars, I'd take my chances with a two piece model. If this were something like a Fulton Peerless, maybe. Best of luck, either way.
  9. I have not, but Dvor had the eclipse for 205 bucks with the fireswitch a few days ago, and I really like the triggers being not of the cassette-type variety. They currently still have the eclipse for 199, and the reflex for 165.
  10. What some others have said. Spent mags go in pockets to remind me to carry myself to the car and refill. Honestly though, if that's the worst error you ever have, you're doing pretty good!
  11. Brekke Custom does some work with silicon carbide, and the prices he quoted were very reasonable. I'd give them a call, they're doing some pretty interesting advanced work too.
  12. I've been shooting off and on since I was about 11; currently in Limited Major and PCC. Glad to be hear!
