  1. I'll be using my TLR-1 but I got that so I could use a level 3 safariland holster for run-n-guns.
  2. Mine seems to only like smooth hulls, like the Winchester AA's. I ran a magazine alternating between the AAs and Super Xs and the AAs worked great and the Super Xs barely ejected if at all.
  3. Do you mean having the slide "automatically" return to battery after you insert a magazine?
  4. They must have updated their site because I could have sworn that they said that they could not do cuts to the slides with the LCI the last time I checked.
  5. I just looked and the only ones they have listed appear to be the ones with the loaded chamber indicator, which seems to be a no go to having the slide milled for a RDS but thanks for the suggestion.
  6. Does anyone know where I could by a spare 5 inch M&P 2.0 Slide?
  7. I had no issues with the factory mod choke, I just also wanted something a little more open for hoser stages as well.
  8. UPDATE 2: Heard back from Briley and they said that the RIA choke was similar but not identical to the Mobil pattern and that the thread pitches were different. Has anyone used aftermarket chokes with their VR-80 and if so which brands? Also I have yet to receive an update from Advanced Tactical, I was told on Thursday to expect an update on Friday and I have not heard anything. If it wasn't almost $10 in shipping alone I would just by another locking nut.
  9. Well despite the general craziness the world is going through right now, the extend glock guide rod came in and I ran about 200 rounds throught it in my CO M&P 2.0 5" and it worked great. Recoil felt a little different and I feel like I was able to track the dot better. Deffinitely need more time with it. My only complant is that it is a little too long and you can see about an 1/8th of the guide rod when the gun is in battery, however, this does not seem to affect anything besides the look of the gun. Also I decided to go with a 15# flat spring.
  10. You don't have to fit a CO pistol in the box. As long as the magazine meets the 141mm max length requirement and the gun with an empty mag weights 59 oz or less everything should be good.
  11. Wish I had seen this before I ordered from the glockstore, last time I looked Carver custom had been out of stock for a while.
  12. Apendex D7 I think as long as the new grips keep the same profile they should be fine. Would love to get in on a set of those.
  13. I understand what you are saying, about where on the magazine do you grab, right at the hanger, or above it as it hangs on your belt, also where is the hanger on the magazine you use to make your first reload?
  14. Thanks for the info, followup, did you place the hook in the middle of the magazine vertically or does most of the mag hang below your belt?
  15. I just got a couple of the hooks but I was wondering what sort of orientation people think is ideal for hanging the magazines on the belt?
  16. Has anyone been able to confirm this with the 5" M2.0?
  17. UPDATE: Talked to Briley, they said that it is common for the mobil choke pattern to be cut out of speck on some firearms, I am sending one of the RIA chokes and the new chokes back for them to compare and see if they can modify their chokes or make custom ones. So far I am very happy with their technical support. After some more investigation I realized that I was supposed to thread the locking nut onto the barrel before the brake however the threads on the nut appear to be cut wrong because I can only get it to thread onto the barrel about a 1/2 turn before it jams up and I have tried to force it but even when I put more torque on it than I feel comfortable it still won't go on any more. I called advanced tactical and described my problem, and someone reached back out to me via email asking for pictures of the locking nut which I provided and I am waiting on a response.
  18. I just received a new short brake from Advanced tactical but I am struggling to see how it installs. I remove the barrel shroud and replaced it with the handguard retaining nut. I how ever cannot get the smaller castle nut looking part to thread onto the muzzle threads. The brake screws on just fine but I can't see how to lock it in place one I time it. Also I bought a new briley choke but it does not fit. As far as my cheap calipers can tell it appears to be dimensionally the same as the RIA chokes but it only goes halfway in before it binds up. I am able to change all of the RIA chokes without any issue.
  19. Thanks, have you shot slugs through any of the other chokes besides cylinder?
  20. Does anyone know what thread pattern the chokes are?
  21. Where did you all find instructions on how to remove the bolt hold open tab on the magazine followers?
  22. Ah, I misunderstood the problem, then my only other suggestion is if none of the other tips work, put it back together, go to the range dump like 2-5 rounds to get it nice and hot and then try to disassemble it as quick as you can right there at the range.
  23. Did you remove part #67 the split rings? They will be under the gas block, you have pull back the bolt and the slide (#63 & #64) to be able to move the gas block to the rear to get to the split rings.
