  1. I remember Taran Butler used to promote Ion Bond. You might want to check with him.
  2. In my knowledge and what I was told when it comes to open is to use rifle primers. Also I just checked my open guns and none of them have the protruding firing pins. From a newbie
  3. I just shoot for fun. Get to shoot and squad up with famous shooters. I'm not a good shooter. I only have class D's and C. Not even classified in all the divisions. I kinda like showing off my equipment . But it's all for fun. Next goal would be to go into World Shoot in IPSC.
  4. With no disrespect, I would just sell it as is and buy a new one. Too many things probably needs to be changed both inside and out. Sad part will be the slide to frame fit.
  5. Which pistol are you referring to
  6. I hope that they learn from it as I did with my first at my 2nd Nationals. I also remember a GM getting dqed at a match, so no hard feelings at all. I knew it was my mistake and everyone's safety.
  7. Blue Magic Oil www.AlphaTechCoatings.com This is what I was told when snake oil disappeared in the market
  8. Single stack is a 1911 with bushing barrel. Minimum .40 diameter, but can be shot with a 9mm minor. Yes, holster is non race style. Limited and limited 10 are can be with a race holster
  9. I've always used a plastic bristle brush. Use a regular solvent and a patch. I never clean without a bore guide and always only going 1 way through the barrel. I take off the brush and the jag before pulling the rod back out.
  10. Extractor would be my next guess. After that I would check my grip and recoil spring. Best of luck Sir. Just a thought, is the 1911 a Kimber?
  11. Is the 1911 originally a 9mm? Might be the ejector. Just putting my 2 cents in
