  1. About two thousand rounds. No malfunctions. The trigger pull feels a bit gritty and I was wondering if the issue I filmed may have something to do with it.
  2. There was a full mag of dummy rounds in it.
  3. There is a Johnny Glocks trigger installed but the slide stop is OEM. Is it normal to see the slide stop move when pulling the trigger? Is there some type of "excess drag" going on? Thanks
  4. What off the shelf 9mm ammo do you like to train with (115, 124 and 147)? Which stuff is considered dirty? Thanks
  5. I have a Gen 5 G34 and when I try to to do a trigger pull test, I can't get a reading b/c the trigger safety doesn't get depressed by the gauge. So I've taped the trigger safety down and then have done trigger pulls. But does taping the trigger safety down change the validity of the readings? What is considered the "correct" technique to pull the trigger? I've seen Johnny Glocks pull very quickly. I've seen others pull slowly. I get meaningfully different readings each way. I can get less than 1lb breaks by pulling like Johnny Glocks. Thanks
  6. Has any consensus formed yet as to whether this is the be all, end all, must-have trigger for gun games in a Gen 5 G34?
  7. I have a G35 G5 with the Romeo 3 Max. Followed some YouTube vids on how to properly install an optic and have had no problems thus far. 3,700 rounds through the gun. Never owned/use an SRO so can't give u any color.
  8. I spoke to the GM at Wolff and he set my straight. Even though the Wolff website says the springs aren't for Gen 4 or 5 guns, that's not totally accurate. Their springs will work in Gen 4 and 5 guns as long as you have a guide rod that will work in a Gen 4 or 5 gun. Meaning the after-market GR has something on the end that will capture the spring and the GR is the appropriate diameter.
  9. I was looking at the Wolff website last night, and unless I missed something, it said this about their recoil springs: NOTE: Not for use in Generation 4 & 5 models. Lots of you seem to be using Wolff springs in the 34/5 so what's the deal? Thx
  10. Well I probably should have taken off the slide before posting the first video. When I did take off the slide and pulled out my after-market SS captured guide rod, the spring and the cap flew off. I was shooting yesterday and noticed a small screw sitting on the port bench and had no idea what it was. I didn't even know if it was from my gun but I took it home just in case. Well that screw is the one that holds the guide rod cap in place and somehow it came out of the gun while shooting (it had some V3 on it). So I thought that must have been what was causing the sticking. I put it back together again and it was still sticking. No sticking with the factory guide rod or a 14lb Wolf spring on my SS guide rod. Live and learn.
  11. This is with a full mag of dummy rounds.
  12. A Wolf spring wears out after only 3,000 rounds?
  13. Not a gunsmith. Gen 5 G34 with mag in it with no ammo. Gun and factory mags were brand new when I bought it in Feb 2020. Wolf 13lb recoil spring. About 3,300 rounds on it. The gun was cleaned and lubed one week ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Good for factory loads of 115g, 124g or 147g?

Has anyone put a 4.5lb striker spring in the Timney in a G34 Gen 5 yet? If so, any issues?

    Glock Striker Springs

For a G34 Gen 5. How does the pull weight compare between a JG and the Timney? What about take-up? How does the break compare? How does the reset compare?

If I use a channel liner tool to pull out the liner to inspect it, does that make the channel liner no good to reinstall? Does the tool screw up the inside of the liner?

Interesting. I have about 2,000 rounds on the 4.5lb spring. At what round count is it suggested to change the striker spring?

    Glock Striker Springs

I got a Johnny trigger already so I'm not in a hurry to change. I have a G34 Gen 5. I was using a 4.5lb striker spring and have had a few light strikes with some Winchester and Norma then had a sh$t show when shooting some Wolf that I was trying to get rid of. I have a 5lb spring in now and may want to find the spot between 4.5lbs and 5lbs. Why...because why not.

I should have mentioned in my post that I only shoot factory ammo...Federal, Speer, Fiocchi, Remington, Winchester, etc. 115, 124 or 147gr stuff. Does that make a difference in your answer? And what do you mean by the closed coils?
  22. Not a gunsmith and apologize if the question is too stupid. Will cutting a few coils off a 5lb spring allow the spring to function properly? Just was wondering if one can achieve a poundage between say a 4.5lb spring and a 5lb spring or between a 4lb spring and a 4.5lb spring for example. Thx
  23. Is there any consensus on the whether in dry fire it's necessary to do the above with mags fully loaded with dummy rounds? Thanks
  24. I spoke to Wolf and they said the jacket of the 9mm 115g bullet is a steel and lead mixture (bimetal), but the projectile doesn't have a steel core. Rule 5.5.3 says the below. So that round isn't steel core nor is it a steel jacketed projectile (it's steel and lead). Can it still be used in a match or it's a no-go? Thanks Metal piercing, steel core, incendiary, and/or tracer ammunition, as well as ammunition loaded with steel jacketed projectiles is prohibited at USPSA matches. Steel case ammunition is allowed, provided the projectile does not stick to a magnet.
  25. Someone said the bullet would stick to a magnet not because the bullet has steel in it, but because the steel case is causing the bullet to stick.
