it was a effort in futility. I seem to have forgot how to shoot a pistol. I cant reload shotgun, and I yard saled my shell caddy nearly every reload (invictus). so thats what I did wrong. WHat did I do right? Did not DQ. I learned a lot, looking forward to my match next month

Yeah I can see that, they’re certainly not “race” mag holders but I doubt they’re going to be the piece of gear that’s gonna hold me back, as a matter of fact I doubt any of my gear/guns will be a limiting factor

You think about going the EOTECH route? I was up in the air about the MRO and EXPS series from EOTECH. I went with the MRO mainly due to price. but EOTECH has a green reticle EXPS2

I have an MRO on my AR...... I also have astigmatism, luckily for me the dot (red) is still crisp. I do notice a slight magnification IF i concentrate on it. when I'm actually sending rounds down range I don't notice it at all. I think the worst thing to do is just hold it up with your hands and look through it. I like to mount on rifle and transition between a few targets outside. get a real feel for it. but hey.... mileage may vary.

Obviously a new guy here. New to sport, not new to firearms. As I approach 40 and getting older I figured I need a new hobby. getting pretty excited to shoot my first 3 gun match in February. Needless to say I'm really here poaching ideas, tips and gear choices. Once I get a season in, Maybe I'll be able to spread some (mis)information
