  1. Had Advanced Weapons Technology re-chamber one of my rifles to 6 Creedmoor. To say the least I’m very impressed.

Factory 108 grain ammo 2970 fps, .462 100 yard groups. First attempt hits on 922 yard target.

Pleasure to shoot, and very rewarding.

  2. Well, no joy. The bolt still hits the back of the insert.

However, my new plan is to section and cut a piece of PCv and insert it. That will create a concave channel for the bolt to run through.

  3. My one and only comment on all of this. I am very disappointed in the process and results.

I dont know who I would have voted for in an upcoming election because I don't know who would  have been running.

My issue is I am being told in essence, you can vote for anyone we approve of, but not this particular person.

My ability to exercise my right to vote, as I see fit, has been denied.

  4. I've read that book and am working my way through the rest of his books. I love the description of shooting a wounded Cape buffalo at close range describing after the shot as "the radical rearrangement of flora". The man had a way with words for sure.

    Merry Christmas.

  5. Do your best you can do. My problem came with not being able to stay abreast with the ever changing rule set. Without stability the path is open to making bad calls.

What happened to me was totally my fault, no one else's.

    Good luck.

  6. I doubt that many, if any, have notice my absence at USPSA matches. There is a reason.

At one of Sarge's matches I made a bad call that affected a shooter. That convinced me that it was time to retire. I have bowed out of all forms of NROI duties after several decades.

Now before I get a series of "well bye" or "don't let the door hit you in the A$$" I write this to simply explain my absence. No pity party required or expected.

Thats pretty well sums it up.

  7. Probably nothing. In my case I had a high end Sig scope left over from a gun sale. I thought the cartridge was interesting and decided to build a bolt gun around it. So far I'm very pleased with it. If ammo situation ever gets better and I get better weather I'll be able to stretch it out more.

Your 6 Creed looks like it is doing what it's supposed to do.

basically the rule is a carry over from IPSC standard and USPSA Limited for the reasons I mentioned. In a more fre area 357 sig is a pain for a reloader. hEck even for a ammo buyer as it is expensive

Single stack  or classic, was specifically created because lots of folks LOVE the 1911 and it isnt competitive anymore unless it is in a protected division. I have NO clue why USPSA allowed this minor/major nonsense.  Its a 1911 45 division,,, should have just made it that.

Joe it's a shame you don't understand why, since I've explained my thought process on numerous occasions.
