  1. @mmc45414 You have an interesting hopper on your bullet feeder for your 1100. Can you provide any additional information?
  2. Which triggers are compatible with the Aero Precision EPC lower/upper/bcg? I looked at Timney's offerings for PCC triggers, but they warned: Compatible with AR style Pistol caliber carbines. (Not compatible with SIG SAUER MPX or Aero Precision EPC9 Other places do not specifically say which platforms that they are compatible with, just some rosy prose about how great their triggers are.
  3. I have heard where some people would have too much acidity in the water and leach out the brass leaving the rounds pink. Haven't heard that for dry tumbling though.
  4. If you're running an automated 1050/1100, I can see the need for a thicker, stouter shell plate. For manual uses, I'm pretty sure the older style will work for a long, long time.
  5. Dry tumble with corn and a bit of car wax for 15 to 30 minutes.
  6. Yep, pretty sure you're right about CCI and Vista. On CCI's web page, there's a link that goes back to Vista Outdoor. RebateLink I don't know much about Alliant other than they make powder. Do they do primers too?
  7. From what I can tell: Vista controls Remington and Federal. Olin owns CCI and Winchester Fiocci is Italian owned, but produces out of Missouri for sale in US. Cheddite is Italian and primarily in the shotgun market AFAIK. Argentinian primers are available Unis Ginex are out of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ginex
  8. I can't tell you why a .22LR is $0.07 vs $0.06. But I can mention that primers are used on bullets for sale. There has been a large push for NATO, government, police, rounds to be completed during and after the pandemic. Also there has be 4 million more new gun owners that require bullets to shoot. Most primer manufactures seem to sell their primers to the major bullet manufacturers to be used in completed rounds rather than sell them to reloaders. Since the supply of primers is down, the price goes up.
  9. Right. And when they are empty, you hear the click, click, click of a revolver with the slide forward.
  10. New to the market chronograph. Comes in at $1k+ USD. BulletSeeker Not sure it's better than the $700 or so LabRadar, but seems to work off the same principal. It does attach to your picatinny rail, so that's a little different.
  11. Getting too old to play football, baseball, basketball. Played volleyball for 25 years, too old for that now, at least my knees are. Need something that I can concentrate on and develop some new skills.
  12. Is there any downside to ultrasonic cleaning the BCG? Is it effective, or just a waste of time?
  13. Hope you treat your penis better than your bullets.
  14. Sounds like malarkey. I'd think that wet tumbling with Dawn and stainless steel pins would get the cases cleaner inside and out.
  15. You shouldn't need to thread it down to the shell plate. All you 're looking to do is to seat the bullet. If you have a factory bullet to copy, put it in the shell holder and screw down the seating die until you feel light resistance. Otherwise, seat and measure. Seat and measure.
  16. If running cartridges through a vibratory tumbler was really bad for finished rounds, I'd expect that Hodgdon would have a warning on their website expressly prohibiting this practice.
  17. Would vibrating the finished rounds be any different than finished rounds in boxes going down a bumpy road? Or for that matter, an 8lb jug of powder on CA freeways being delivered to a store?
  18. 15 to 30 minutes in corn in the tumbler to polish them up and clean off the residue. Add a bit of NuFinish.
  19. Discord RLD or Reddit reload exchange: Exchange
  20. Went to a local steel challenge just to see the competition and how it all worked. I'd say the average age of the group was around 70 or so.
  21. Lite case lube is a good thing even for carbide dies.
  22. Over 16 and under 67-1/2? I'm no spring chicken, but I spend a ton of time on Reddit. Try it, you might like it.
  23. Audience size maybe? Focus? RLD is more focused on reloading which is Dillon's bread and butter, not just competition shooting.
  24. No official support per se, but there is a Dillon employee that's on regularly to help customers from 9-5 or so Arizona time.
