  1. I have a 510C, but have noticed that outside in sunny conditions the dot would look blurry. Like the solar panel was providing too much voltage/current to the red dot.
  2. Did the chute also for finished rounds. Screen for separating bullets and powder . Useful when using the kinetic hammer. 45ACP hundo box for separating large and small primers sizes. Still need to try it out.
  3. Walnut for cleaning and corn for polishing, or that's the maxim that I've heard. 50/50 mix for cleaning range pickups. Toss in a used dryer sheet and some NuFinish to cut down on the dust. Amazon link if interested: 15lbs Walnut Corn: Corn The price for corn has gone way up from what I remembered.
  4. I used one of the cheap Amazon laser in a bullet things. Worked great. Shined it down a dark hallway and aligned my G34 optic just fine.
  5. If he had a Wylde barrel, there would be no need to distinguish between 5.56 and .223.
  6. The case is normally thicker with a 5.56 and the case is designed for 60,000psi according to the Hornady manual. .223 is designed for 55,000psi.
  7. .223 Rem is what you're looking for. But if your rifle is chambered for 5.56, then why not load for 5.56? .223 and 5.56 are very, very, close, but there are some differences.
  8. Maybe keep the automated 650 for loading 9mm and 40cal. Use the 1050 for .223. Get one head for brass prep and one for loading. The prep and load could be automated, just doesn't have to be.
  9. 9mm measured COAL is about +-0.003 on the 1050. Need to make sure the you're not measuring with a proud primer once and a while.
  10. I think the CFE-223 is a little dirtier than the H335. The H335 is a bit smaller load ( CFE-223:26-26.8, H335:23-25.3 @55gr) CFE-223 is slightly faster. Both work well though. Both are ball powders and will flow well with the 1050. I also use BLC-2 for .223 with good results.
  11. Minor league baseball is a ton of fun. Beer batters, good barbecue...
  12. @xxratchetxx Try Ballistic Tools swage gauge: SwageGauge You can get the tools in large primer or small primer. These tools help me understand if I'm swaging the primer pockets enough to allow a primer to sit flush. There's a screw between the decapper/sizer (Pos 1) and the swage hold down (Pos 2) that will determine how deep the primer will be inserted.
  13. Swaging will also determine how a primer can get inserted into a case. Use a gauge to determine if you are swaging enough or too much.
  14. Don't get it either. MLB can't market their biggest stars either like NFL or the NBA does. Poor leadership.
  15. Dress up as police and torment the crows away from your house. Give the crows a better target.
  16. How does the finished product look? The out of round might be a sizing die problem, but if the 1050 is producing good ammunition after the crimp die, I'm not sure I'd worry about it. When the case gets belled by the powder drop, do you still see the case out of round? Is the out of round preventing the belling?
  17. Now divide 18.75hrs /12 months = your monthly time pulling the handle.
  18. Shooting 15k/yr = 1.25hrs at 1000/hr. Even half of that is 2.5hrs to get your needs complete for the month. I can't see automating helping that much. However, if you had some type of injury that prevented you from reloading manually, it would be another story.
  19. So the Wilson is a 308 carbine length or a AR15 carbine length?
  20. For the Aero EPC, I have a 308 spring and Aero's EPC buffer, but I don't get a last round bolt hold open (LRBHO). What combination would work better than what I have?
  21. Great backpack. Three pistols and their magazines fit nicely. Two sets of ear pro and ammo.
  22. I had a primer pop when the decapping die should have knocked out the primer but didn't.
  23. Might want to try just two or three spritzes of lube while they are in the case feeder with a lanolin based lube. It's not much over two or three hundred cases, but it will smooth things out. A little lube makes most things better.
  24. Sure, but paper doesn't mind a little corn. For 9mm or 45ACP, I can't say that it would affect bullet flight or performance over 10 to 20 yards.
