  1. I'm running the identical setup as you and I'm not having any trouble with the spent brass. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. I've had 2 bad primers (not light strikes, would not go bang in another gun) in 40 some years. One shotgun and one small pistol. Pretty amazing since 15,000 plus shotgun primers have been Cheditte. I would carry on unless you hit a much higher failure rate. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. I'm having no luck finding this one so I'll ask. I know the 50 post rule is set in stone and it's a great rule. I'm getting ready to make a major purchase and I'm not sure if I see the gun I'm wanting is it ok to PM the OP if I would see something I want? I really need a new to me caliber handgun. I buy another SDB just to justify getting a new pistol! I actually thought about painting my reloading barn Dillon blue to feed my addiction. Thanks Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. I'm ready to get a 10mm. I'm pretty much a Kimber or Colt person. I was ready to buy a full size Kimber target mainly because I own 3 Team Match Kimbers and my astigmatism dictates adjustable rears. I had a buddy ask if I had checked out RIA. He was going to buy one and the money is half the Kimber price. Any owners that could give feedback? Looks like a good way to try the 10mm for half the money of Kimber or Delta. 5. That's a pretty stiff load. I would load a few and check for excessive pressure signs. I reread this thread and I don't see the diameter you are using. I'm using .452. I also didn't see anything about seating depth. I used WSL1 years ago, an old Winchester shotgun powder. I don't remember if they quit making it but I did switch to Clay's, and one of the reasons was how well it burned. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  6. We are pretty close to identical. I have no problems, just the opposite. It's been over 12 years and I stick with it and the main reason is how clean it burns. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  7. Neither are comp. Bought my first 38 super in 1979 and I've had at least one since. I just love it! I've only seen one comp somewhere around Hickory. I even remember his name. I need to track him down. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. Hickory NC Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  9. I'm good. I have a twin of the Colt in 35acp and all 3 calibers of the Kimber, 9mm, 38super and 45acp. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  10. My 38 super match gun, closing in on 10,000 rounds since I bought it 1990. I also got a 38 super Kimber so I can retire the Colt. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. A couple I know just got one and they love it, especially the lady. They were shooting some very tight groups. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. Malfunctions happen during a match to prepare you for something going wrong in real life. Sounds to me like you adapted and did well. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  13. You will really love the XD series and the Match barrel really deals the deal. I'm a huge 1911 freak and the XDM is one of the few Tupperware handguns that I really like. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. Sorry it took so long to post my intro. I'm a slave to my phone and that means Tapatalk sadly. I'm a retired NC CCH Instructor. I was in the first crop of instructors when NC finally saw the light. I still have my NRA Instructor status. I've been shooting close to 60 years and reloading close to 40 years. 15. I just slide a home depot bucket under mine. Blue and orange look nice together. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. I have always been paranoid when pulling. I had hoped the plastic would not be strong enough to allow pressure enough for what happened to you. I'm glad you were not injured. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
