  1. As ChuckS stated, "Reloading" is defined in the USPSA rulebook as, in part: "Self loader - Remove magazine, insert a different magazine, and return firearm to battery..." So no, removing a magazine then reinserting the same magazine would not be a legal reload unless a different magazine was loaded in between.
  2. I use Davinci Resolve, it is free and has a full audio and color editing suite in addition to regular video editing capabilities. It does take a little getting used to, and there is a little bit of a learning curve to it, but I love it.
  3. So I emailed CR Speed about this issue, and finally received a response this morning (almost 2 weeks later). Their reply was this; Good Day The Left Handed Version has the locking tab and arm in the position described. Adding supplied spacers with extended supplied fasteners will create greater space for Left handed operation. Kind Regards / Vriendelike Groete Tazio Resca I should also note that I decided to give the holster a try at my local New Years Day match, and although I did have some a recurring issue (kept forgetting to unlock the holster at make ready) I found that when adjusted properly, it really wasn't too difficult for me to operate the locking lever. I guess this is my lesson in "don't knock it till you try it."

  5. I am already running a Ghost Thunder for my Limited gun, was just looking to upgrade to more of a race type holster. Might just stick with the Ghost for now.
  6. Like we really need a new division for the Limited shooters who want to run an optic but are too scared of the big bad open guns to step up. I honestly don't see any reason for this, as all it is going to do is drop the numbers in Limited when everyone throws a dot on their Limited gun. Personally, I honestly don't care about being "competitive", I just want to go out and have fun. If I wanted an optic on my Limited gun, I would either go to CO or Open. Just keep diluting the division numbers with more divisions.
  7. The 5th annual Trident Armory Standby To Fly Benefit Match and Maine State Championship will be held at the Hampden Rifle and Pistol Club in Hampden Maine June 2nd through the 4th, 2023, benefiting the Travis Mills Foundation with a fundraising goal of $100,000!!!!!! This is a 12 stage, USPSA Level 2 match. Match fee: $150 (Match t-shirt and lunch included in entry fee) Registration opens Jan 1st (Must be a current USPSA member to compete) Staff shoots Friday June 2nd, competitors either Saturday June 3rd or Sunday June 4th. Silent auction, raffles, and vendors.
  8. Just an update to this thread. I received one I bought from Shooters Connection today. All said and done, I am less then impressed. It appears to me that all they did to make it left handed is take a right handed holster and drill 2 holes in the right side of it to attach the hanger to. This puts the locking lever between the holster body and the hanger, making it almost impossible to use. For a company with the reputation like CR Speed has in the industry, I expected a lot more out of them.

  10. I worked a match once that had a slant partial target. After one of the competitors shot the stage, there was one hole in the center of the alpha and one hole dead center of the black hard cover. The competitor actually asked for an overlay on the alpha, trying to get me to call it a double, even though he saw the hole in the hard cover, and that hole wasn't there when he started the course of fire. All of the targets were in a line also, so no possibility of a shoot-through, and he only fired 2 rounds at all of the targets, as the stage was virginia count.
  11. In my view, if the competitor knew he didn't have ear pro in (which by the OP's statement he knew), shot the stage anyway, and tried to use that as an excuse to get a reshoot to cover up a bad stage, then not only should the reshoot be denied, but I would seriously be looking at a DQ for unsportsmanlike conduct under 10.6.1 or 10.6.3 of the USPSA rulebook.
  12. I am looking into getting a new holster for my limited gun, and have my eye on the new CR Speed Ultra. My problem is that I am left handed (or as some people say, wrong handed haha) and I cannot find any information anywhere, even on CR Speed's own website as to whether or not this holster can be converted to a left handed setup. I have found that one online dealer sells a left handed version, but they seem to be the only seller that does. I would love to buy this holster, but if not, I guess I will have to settle for the WSM, as all of my other gear is CR Speed. Thanks in advance.
  13. As long as the shooter intended to engage the target while moving from box A to box B, and it was not an accidental discharge of the firearm, then this would only be a procedural for engaging targets outside the shooting area. However, if the written stage brief did not mention engaging the targets from within the shooting area, then there would be no penalty at all. This would only be a DQ if the shooter did not mean for the gun to fire while they were moving.
  14. I use a GoPro Hero 2 on a hat mount when at the match. For editing, I import the video into Davinci Resolve (the free version). I also use Resolve for my other YouTube channel videos (gear, rules explanations, etc)
