Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I had a similar issue creeping in on mine at probably 15k rounds between the set of 3 (mecgar tubes, henning +5, grams guts). New springs fixed it. I'd have to dig up a picture, but the used springs were about an inch shorter than the new ones. I don't actually clean the mags other than the brush, but I do be sure to run the brush if they get dirt in them from matches. I've also noticed that I need to keep the feed ramp reasonably clean. Between those 2 things feeding has been pretty reliable for me. At this point I just make sure to change the springs at the beginning of the season and at some point halfway through. I just choose to not give a s#!t over the winter.
  2. "Low" at 18 yards is pretty far for a typical uspsa stage. What you may need to consider doing is using a higher rear sight if they are available if you can't get a lower front.
  3. Does it apply a shorter reset @jripper? I know less take-up as well as some perceived quality increase of the DA, but I think the reset is determined by the trigger bar/seer relationship. I could be wrong though.
  4. It varies from gun to gun too. The two S2s I actually run eat 1.120ish length 125gr blue bullets just fine. However, and Accu S2 I impulse bought a month back strait chokes on them. The leade (or whatever) on the rifling is visibly shorter on that one. I shortened to 1.08ish and it's fine now in all 3. I recall from a reddit comment that that may depend on how fresh the tooling is on the reamer they just happened to use, but who knows if that's actually true. This is 100% the case for me. I can have some old ACME dummies that are much pointier that don'e have this issue in this gun. Blue bullets are much rounder so that's the case for me. Back to the original point, this is true. The thread seems to have just went off in the short chamber direction without anything indicating that to be the actual case here. I used to get horrible fail to extracts on my 2 main S2s until I went to 13lb recoil springs from 11lb for example. I also need to clean the extractors every 3-4k or so. Those are only 2 additional possible causes though.
  5. Hey all, I remember in the days of yore, you posted here first. So I'm posting here first. In any case. I only shoot USPSA production right now and it's my second year in. You can currently find me in the top 20 for C class haha. In any case. Currently running a Tanfo Stock 3 with all the Patriot Defense bells and whistles allowed for production. Just started reloading a couple of months ago to shoot more of the same. Lurked for a bit, but figured it's time to insert my own irrelevant opinions here instead of just reddit. Thanks buds! See you out there.
