  1. Hello: & Welcome I've been reloading for over 50 years now, and if that makes me an oldster well yes I am. However back to tour topic. I am currently shooting my 6.5 Creedmoor rifles as well as my 7.62 x51 mm (.308") caliber rifles in earnest. I have recently added to my stock another Tactical Rifle again in 6.5 Creedmoor. I really do love the load development (shooting for accuracy and precision) aspect of this wonderful round. It just amazes me the amount of reduction in ES and SD that can be achieved with a lot of time, effort, a great chronograph, and devotion to this hand loading for lack of a better word I'll call it a craft. I have spent many hours of trigger time between the Creedmoors & the .308 calibers not to say that I don't enjoy my other rifles, and for that matter my handguns as well. I have reloaded commercially in past years but now just for my own satisfaction. Even though I am long in the tooth I still learn something new every day. Even if the information is not applicable immediately there will come a time when you may need to recall said information. with that being said I will gladly try answer any questions regarding hand loading ammunition that you may have. Please text me or leave a Facebook address so that we can communicate.
  2. I just mounted a VG 6 Epsilon on my Creedmor 6.5 Rifle. I have used the tune-able muzzle brakes from MBM (see videos)and they work very well. They also come off without any crush-washers or spacers. Very easy to time and set up correctly. In this case I wanted something that actually kept the muzzle flash down as well as mitigate the pronounced recoil. This results in faster follow up shots with a time need for target re acquisition. Take a good look at the VG6 Epsilon. (see U Tube related videos ) I'm very satisfied with mine, however I'm using this on a tactical/hunting rifle combination The flash hider which will reduce your signature plus the gas vent slots located on the bottom edge help in keeping down said muzzle climb OBTW In addition to performance it just looks to dam sexy!.
  3. Hello to all: I am currently shooting several caliber long guns, most of said shooting is with a .270 Winchester, 7.62x 51 (.308 ), 6.5 Creedmoor, 300 Win Mag, & 338Win Mag. and oh yeah a 45 - 70 Government. I have been hand-loading for over 50 years in both pistol and long rifle calibers. To me this is very therapy not labor, although at times it can be labor intensive. I am fortunate to reside in South Western Florida and have several ranges that I can go to when the mood strikes .I am a member of a brand new indoor(state of the art) range as well as an outsoor range . Both of which are within 1/2 hours drive from my home. I truly am blessed that I have a wife that enjoys shooting as much as I do, so that together we can enjoy each others company for longer durations than if I went to a range while she did some thing that women like to do. I just wanted to reach out and introduce myself to the community and say " Hello"
