I think the XRAIL went for around 700 bucks? I have a Versamax and I'm trying to dip my toes into Open 3gun... Maybe I should just get it over with and get a Dissident Arms, but if you can top a Versamax off with 20+ rounds, I'm not sure there's much of an advantage at normal matches.

Haven't been able to dig up anything about it. Was it a piece of s#!t or something? I want one for my versamax. Thanks.

Tired of playing musical holsters - does anyone know where I can buy just an outer belt? Maybe plastic belt keepers too. Thanks.
-
No I haven’t. Which fb group should I use? Just jerry rigged some Walmart gear that should be legal and is definitely safe but is far from ideal. Thanks for the reply.

I have my gun and my ammo. Left my rig at home. I have a pants belt. If anyone has a rig I can rent/buy I’ll pay you like 150% what it’s worth.
I (would like to) shoot carry optics with my sig x5 if anyone has anything. I don’t care if it’s a Serpa with leather mag pouches, I just want to be able to shoot the match.

Don't forget, the five boroughs of NYC (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and SI)
are the worst - if you live one mile from NYC in Westchester or Nassau, and have a
permit, it's NOT honored a mile from your home in NYC.
NY cops are not allowed to carry in NYC.
Be sure to find out the rules for NYC and not the surrounding counties.
When I moved to Ulster County (80 miles north of the Bronx), I was happy
to find our local judge firmly believed that every good guy should carry
a concealed weapon Don't know if he's still there.
I've unfortunately accepted that the only legal way I'll get to shoot matches is to store my gun outside of the city, which sucks... but it is what it is. I'll be here for four years so it's either that or no shooting at all. Hoping to work out something with LIPSA where they can let me store a gun/mags there. We shall see.

Talk to the people at LIPSA - they're easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable.
You might want to travel a little bit, out to PA - your GA gear is all good in PA
There used to be USPSA matches near Poughkeepsie (Dutchess County Pistol Assoc) -
not sure what they're doing now.
You might want to move across the river to NJ - not too much better, but better
than NYC - that's about as bad as it gets And, it's not a bad commute.
Is your school uptown or downtown ? Uptown, you take the GWB, and downtown
the Lincoln Tunnel. During non-rush hour traffic, neither is bad.
I'm uptown. I'm stuck here for at least a year but I'll keep commuting from NJ in mind.

Dutchess does USPSA and steel challenge. I was there yesterday
NJ events are also prevalent.

The rules for rifles vs pistols are very different in NYC. You might want to major in PCC and rimfire rifle; There are plenty of hunters in NYC. LIPSA is a good club and will have some info.
No car, but for a once a month thing, I'd be willing to get a rental. Good excuse to buy a PCC, I'll do some research on what's legal up here. Thanks for the tip.

lipsa is probably your best bet.
I heard that one from a cop and then heard it from a student so I had some hope. Too bad!

Hey guys,
I just got out of the army and moved to NYC for school. The city actually isn't that bad except I had to leave all my guns in Georgia. I was planning on brining a few up and shooting matches again but I can't even decipher the laws and even cops can't give me consistent answers...
1) Ok so I understand that I'm basically shafted on owning any sort of gun legally within the city. Does anyone know if there's a USPSA-focused range that will allow some sort of storage for a pistol or two?
2) I'm getting told by some people that my normal mags are good to bring up... I just can't load more than 10 rounds. But that sounds... retarded but if it's true it'd be very convenient. Is that correct?
3) I live on manhattan if anyone has any recommendations for where to go, maybe some people to talk to, cause I think part of the issue is I'm surrounded by people that have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to this stuff.
4) What's the most competitive division in NY? I'm guessing limited 10? Or are people shooting open/CO with 10 round mags?
Thanks y'all,
Jeff
Anyone sell just a ruger PC9 front end?

I have a pc9 charger pistol that I want to shoot in PCC. I'd like to keep the short set up for fun so I'd need to be an entire front end for the long barrel. Can someone point me in the right direction?
