Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Currently running a SP01, milled by CZC for a Holosun 507cV2
  2. I had the exact same DQ happen to me in September of last year at the end of the largest match I had shot at the time. What makes it even better was that I was the last shooter, on the last squad to finish, so it was the final round fired of the match. Luckily the round hit the dirt about 15ft downrange, and everyone was safe, just a bit surprised. Now I rack the pistol no fewer than 3 times, usually more, before dropping the hammer and holstering. Overall a good learning experience, though I was slightly more than mildly pissed at myself for doing something so dumb, as well as trashing the fact that I was beating everyone else in the squad shooting production up until that point.
  3. I had a V1 507c mounted on my p10c for about 2k rounds, then moved over to my SP01 w/ CZC multi cut plate. After about 3k on that gun, the brightness down button felt like it had come completely disconnected from the internal workings, and stopped functioning. Sent it in for warranty last week and am now waiting to hear back. If the replacement dies on the SP01, whatever they send to me after that will live on the P10 and ill be picking up an SRO for the SP01.
  4. I'm considering getting my SP01 milled to be set up for carry optics, but am having trouble deciding on a dot. Ideally, id like it to be reasonably inexpensive (sub $400), and not require an adaptor plate (yet again due to miniscule college student budget). So far, this seems to leave the deltapoint pro (heard issues with these breaking on steel frame guns), vortex options (heard mixed quality, but great warranty), and sig (heard little to nothing about putting these on metal guns, but the window size looks good). I love my holosun on my p10, but the RMR mount pattern is too wide for the SP01 without an adaptor, and the window size isn't great. I'm planning on going with primary machine for milling/cerakote, since they did great work on my p10c, but am open to other options if other places have significant advantages.
  5. Sadly I doubt we'll see a 6390 or much of anything out of safariland for this if their support for other CZs is anything to go off of. (ALS for my SP01 please)
  6. https://blog.lonewolfdist.com/index.php/2018/07/13/tactical-mythbusting-you-shouldnt-carry-a-modified-gun/ Link to a good article on the subject mentioned in my last post.
  7. Have you ever seen this happen in an actual court case? Ive heard this argument made time and time again on forums, but never actually heard of it happening in actual proceedings. Whether or not a shoot was good is completely independent of what type of gun was used or what was done to it, so long as its not anything ridiculously egregious such as the cop a few years ago who was involved in an already bad shoot, and had a dust cover on his AR which said "Youre f*****d", and even then they didn't convict on anything.
  8. I'll be the second to vouch for this. Guy who runs it is a friend of mine, so I'm slightly biased, but he makes good stuff, stands behind his products, and ships fast.
  9. To the best I can tell from looking at pictures, It should work. The dimensions of the slide rails look the same, with the only difference being the exterior profile of the top of the slide. I wouldn't go dropping a bunch of money in to this type of project without getting a 100% confirmation though. Maybe try emailing CZ, or finding a gun store with a regular and phantom SP01 and asking them if you can take them apart to look?
  10. Just earned my first Dairy Queen trip at my fourth ever USPSA match and figured Id continue knocking out the proverbial checklist items by joining this forum. Looking forward to learning a lot from the community here.
