Hi all, quick question on Romeo 1 installation on X5: can you re-use the screws provided with Romeo 1 after torquing them to the specified 30 ft.lb? I had removed my optic for inspection, and put it back on using the same screws. So the screws have been torqued twice, which is generally not recommended. Any experience with this?

how is that DPP holding for you? i have an older X5 with romeo 1, but am returning this optic because this is the second one that gave me issues (the glass moves around if I press on it!). I want to try the DPP. L&M Precision slide modification makes a lot of sense, but are you still happy with it (after how many rounds?) you mention they provide the hardware, what hardware is this? I thought all you needed is the optic, screws and the slide.

Hi all...what do you think of a 7yd zero for CO (sig X5, romeo1, subsonic ammo)? Within 50 yd, the bullet will almost always be high but within 2 inch from the point of aim. This is to compensate for my "natural" pulling down of the shots.

great then! :)) However, i do realize that this could be kind of cheating myself on the long run. I wish my trigger pull was identical in rapid fire vs. slow fire, but I pull shots about 10 moa during rapid fire, and so I am now compensating for that with the optic. I am also quite surprised that purists here would be OK with this.

yes, but this is already off hand zeroing, so i am aligning the dot so to shoot about 7-10 moa high. The bullets will hit 1.7 inch high at 20yd (and about 3inch high at 30 yd) I realized that i pull the shots down about this much in rapid fire, but in a very consistent way.

I have a new question somewhat related to this topic: i am a new CO shooter. I have my dot zeroed at 7 yds, the bullets hit 0.5 inch higher at 10 yd and 1.5 inch high at 20 yd. Windage is almost perfect at 20 yd. The reason why i am sighting it a bit high is to compensate for my usual (and very consistent) pulling low of the shots during competition. If I am relaxed I can do a very nice 2 inch group dead center at 20 yds in slow fire, but during the heat of competition I pull low, and in a very consistent way. What is your opinion on my sighting the dot high? Would it be counterproductive on the long run?

George16, how do you like that modified *thumb rest [generic]*? I assume it is CO legal at USPSA, but how about IDPA?

Hey there, new forum member here. I have an X5 with tungsten grip (not the legion, just a replacement grip). I am having trouble depressing the mag release button, especially when doing quick reloads during competition. First, the button feels too stiff. Secondly, and more importantly in my opinion, the other side of the button (that protrudes from the right side when the button is depressed) hits my middle finger if I dont break my grip. Basically, my thumb and middle finger are pushing in opposite directions when I am dropping a mag. Ultimately my thumb wins, but this caused me to lose several seconds in a few classifiers, which made me quite angry. Anybody who had similar issues, and suggestions for a remedy?
