    SP01 magwell?

If I'm understanding you right you still have factory baseplates. Sounds like it is because a reg base pad is a little harder to use with a magwell (some of them won't even insert all the way because the plate is as wide as the base of the gun). I designed a magwell for the shadow 2 (which I think has same frame as SP01) and had to add an excessive amount of flare to accommodate factory baseplates. I would start with the magwell and just be willing to do some filing on the baseplate. My factory mecgar mags all had cheap plastic baseplates so I had no issue doing some filing.
  2. If you're trying to use a barrel you already have or buy one for a dif model because the TSO ones are out of stock you might be able to get away with a suppressor length barrel. Only issue might be the threads against the bushing but not sure if it would even be an issue and, if so, could be a decent short term solution
  3. Yeah I saw the boss hanger. They're as much as the holster itself but I guess it is what it is. That's good to know. So that 3 hole pattern would be considered equivalent with blafr-tech and comp-tac? That helps because after looking at my new one I felt like I'd be able to use my comp-tac hangers. I just decided not to because it's time I got a decent hanger
  4. This is probably real simple and I'm just making it harder on myself. So far I've mostly used comp-tac holsters. All of that comes with the hangers and everything for belt or even tuck options. I just use the belt hanger with drop offset. However, I recently acquired (secondhand) what I believe is a RHT tactical holster. It has a 3 hole pattern drilled in it (like the predator's targeting reticle) and no hanger. There's a million hanger options out there and I just want to make sure I get the right thing. Some questions: Do all comp holsters have the same 3 hole triangle pattern in them so that pretty much any hanger will work? Are all the hangers more about belt attachment, drop, and offset because they will attach to any holster with that 3 hole pattern? If there are different holster hole patterns, how do I know which is compatible with the 3 hole pattern? Is there a name for it? And, finally, for a (maybe) RHT holster what would you recommend for a hanger? I'm looking for something with some drop but don't care too much about offset.
  5. Hey guys. I don't stop by the forums in here as often as I should but I wanted to stop by to let you all know that we have opened a Competition shooting group on Facebook. It is currently a focus for discussion but we would like to have it for a place where match announcements can be made, questions about gear and training, and discussion based around all forms of sport shooting. Forums like Enos are fantastic resources! However, we are continually spending more and more time on social media platforms and on Facebook, while there are pages for specific clubs and ranges, there has yet to be an all encompassing group where people from all backgrounds in sport shooting can get together. The group is public and easy to find but all of your posts are not visible to non-members. This may be changed in the future but seems to work well for right now considering how facebook algorithms handle firearm related discussion. If you would like to check it out and be a part of it head on over and shoot a join request at the link below. Thanks guys https://www.facebook.com/groups/146869829710573/
  6. Right on. That's interesting. I actually made one for my G34 once (copied an already available model) and it came out great. I'd def look into doing one for the phantom. I set out to make this because grip panels for the S2 are around $100 and so is a magwell. Plus to use the magwell you usually have to buy special attachment pins like you said. To get into a magwell and grips is a $200-350 endeavour. Mine is literally a magwell AND grip combo that will attach using simply the grip screws. And yes, after I finish my own custom setup I will be selling these. It was too good of an idea to pass up. Been working on it for a week now, probably have about 40 hours of design work in it so far. Only snags at this point are little things like wanting to use factory mags and maybe working on a palmswell, etc..
  7. Hey guys, My first post here over here. Thought I'd take a shot with asking for some advice. I've been developing a magwell for my shadow 2 and it's gone really well. Works fine, fits fine. Current issue. I would like to practice with stock mags and my stock mags don't want to seat without me doing some fitting on the magwell. The base plates are wider than the actual gun. I'd like to make one that doesn't require any fitting but in order to use them and also keep a smooth blend from magwell attachment to the firearm magwell but it's requiring me to flare it excessively. I thought maybe those of you that already have a magwell on a S2 or any gun for that matter could toss me a couple pics that match mine or just give me a rough estimate of the angle of the flare on yours. Current photos show a magwell that still requires fitting to reliably seat a factory magazine. What do you think? Is it already flared too much? Could it stand to he flared more? Thanks for your advice fellas
