Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I went to pinnacle-guns.com and could only find a release that is a little shorter than the "Merkle-release" pictured. I have small hands and it would be great to try a release that allowed me to keep my grip during a reload. Does anyone know where to buy the "Merkle-release"??
  2. Wow, that cylinder looks great. Looks like more than a Dremel to me.
  3. I had my 625 go "click" five times during our Tuesday night league. It ended up being the strain screw backing out. I could turn it in 1/8 turn and dry fire a dozen times and it would back right back out. I guess I should have used some loctite on it. Speaking of loctite, make sure you put a drop on the front frame screw that holds the cylinder in, I guess that one has a tendency to come loose also. good luck
  4. The only revolver neutral stage for me would have three rounds. Especially if there is steel envolved! LOL
  5. Its amazing how confident I can become with a couple of beers in me. Too bad I cant have a few before I shoot.
  6. Ok the front screw is tight, it seems like the cylinder is doing most of the moving but with the cylinder open I can get the crane to move a littel side to side. I get about .0015" when pushing the cylinder to the forcing cone and a max of .004" when pulling it away. If I need a shim, where does it go? I have had the cylinder and crane out but never removed the cylinder from the crane so I may need a little direction.
  7. I heard Keith mumbling somthing about a Hearthco when he came back from IOWA. I glad to see that its been found. You should have seen him try to load a bent one the other night. ??I think he still beat me on that stage??
  8. It does seem to work better if I get all of the fouling off of the front of the cylinder with a lead cloth. Kieth, I may need some help with this, I dont even know where a "shim" is supposed to go. Hell I cant even shoot a stage clean anymore... That Glock in my hand felt pretty good during that classifier on Tuesday. It may be time for an intervention, I keep having nightmares of steel not falling.
  9. The cylinder of my 625 is ocasionally dragging on the forcing cone on two cylinders. Do I have somthing bent? The gun is pretty new with maybe 2000 rds through it and hasnt been abused. The weird thing is that it is not consistent. Sometimes it will do it sometimes it wont. The gap is pretty tight on all six chambers. It has done it some since it was new. Is there something I can do myself or should I just shoot through it until the end of the season?
  10. Zip is trying to make it work. Right now I have a family conflict but I am 90% sure I will make it both days. The way the summer is going it might be my very first match. Crap, I just bought a new single stack so I can shoot Saturday - I had better make it down there!
  11. "FUN" for you maybe, I think it &$^%*# sucks! For me right now, they all suck. Or maybe I should say that I suck-but I suck a little less each week
  12. Congratulations Keith on the MASTER. Someday maybe with alot of practice I can shoot just like you. Not only is he a master shooter he is also a great coach and helper. Thanks for letting me tag around with you on Tuesdays and ask all kinds of dumb questions.
  13. Got mine last week and Randy had it fitted with all of the right parts. It dropped right in with no messing around. I will see how it shoots sometime this week, seems like the rain will never stop here. It looks really cool on the gun and as a new shooter I will take anything that helps. After last week I need a confidence booster even if it turns out to be a consmetic one. Thanks Randy.
  14. Anyone else get their bag? I had to email Smith a few weeks ago and mine finally came. The weird thing is that KEITH got his a few months ago and it was a large "duffel" type bag. I got mine today and its a really small "range" type bag. I dont mind the range bag, just curious why the difference. What did anyone else get?
  15. I like that one also, I think it works great. I have bought a couple and only found them on E-bay.
