I have a couple competition hammers with very slight design differences and the ghost hammer. I love the look of the ghost hammer, but in actual use I find that I vastly prefer the competition hammer or even just a normal shadow ring hammer. The "jimping" cuts on the ghost hammer are so shallow that if your thumb is a bit sweaty you could slip off the hammer. There's just no "bite" like the other hammers to provide traction the surface of your finger. It apparently has hooks cut identical to the competition hammer, and I feel no difference between the two. If you want a great looking hammer like I did, you'll be happy with it. However there is a downside you should know about before buying.

Go with the Armanov's, if you don't like them I think you should be able to get your money back on a quick resale. They're relatively rare and really new grips - only been out 2 months.

I've been using these for the past 2 months. Liked them so much I bought a second set a month ago and another recently. They're aluminum palm swell grips that fit better than lok grips and are much more grippy too. It's hard to see the contour here, but they're excellent for keeping your hands in place. Borrowing the crisp single action fire control group of a DW 1911 and combining it with the ergonomics and capacity of a CZ, the resulting pistol emerged as something great. Designed initially for competition use, the DWX has evolved into much more than that, with both full-size and compact variants. There's nothing to the conversion. You just remove the trigger and swap it for the SA trigger. You also remove the disconnecter from the hammer. Put everything back together and adjust/loctite the travel screws.

I fit a CZ UB 0.0 disconnecter in a Phantom, it resets in DA but in SA if the gun is tilted on its side it will not release the hammer. I'm guessing I'll need to take a bit more off the SA hook of the disconnecter. Has anyone seen this problem before?

I have a 75 SA frame. FPB delete on the slide, shadow sear, shadow narrow hammer. The trigger bar return spring has plenty of pressure on the trigger bar. The SA trigger has both set screws removed currently. The gun dry fires perfectly and always resets. When firing at the range I can only get 1-3 or so rds before failure to reset. The hammer locks back on the sear, but the trigger will not drop the hammer because the trigger does not actuate the sear. Once I was able to get an audible "click" reset by pulling the hammer back more - which allowed me to fire the gun. This is occurring about 50-75% of the time. I am able to resolve this issue by doing the following: with the failure to reset and the hammer cocked and locked into the sear, I can use the tip of my knife to press on the sear thereby getting that audible click, which then allows me to fire the gun. I can also remove the slide and with the gun's failure to reset, but with hammer cocked and locked into the sear, I can press down on the sear cage (there is a slight gap between the rear sear cage "fingers" and the frame shelf that the sear fits into), by pressing down on the cage I get the same audible "click", which allows the gun to fire. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Not much love for Steyr in here, but the new MF pistol just cleared customs in the USA and should be for sale soon. I'll be buying one. Will update when I get it... First observation: holster options are non-existent.
