  1. Happy Birthday Kurt.

  2. Sorry to hear that Trapr. Will have to try to get over to your side of the pond, maybe around next years Shot Show. Until then, good shooting. Bryan
  3. I don't see any of you guys registered for the match. Is no-one making the trip this year?
  4. Thanks Patrick. The problem is that we have very few ar's here that I could try, as the 6 of us that shoot together have 2 Oberlands, a Sig 551, a HK SL8 and an MR223. I have been offered a Sabre Defnce upper but wanted to check before driving 400KM to try it out. Thanks again. Trapr, thanks also and look forward to seeing you in Finland, if not sooner( if I win the lottery) Bryan
  5. Does anyone know for sure if an aftermarket upper (eg DPMS, JP, Armalite etc) will fit an Oberland receiver or (as I have been told) Oberland are drilled slightly offset (as per german law).. All help appreciated.
  6. Trust me they are all true. It is the one's that he didn't tell you that would make your toes curl
  7. You can count on an Irish contingent to be there. I have just circulated these details and am awaiting replies. Bryan
  8. I would like to send some patches and pins as give-away items. Can anyone tell me do I just send them to the APO address, from Ireland, or do I have to route them through a military base or embassy. Any help welcomed. Bryan
  9. I would like to echo all the previous comments. It was a fabulous experience and many thanks to all the organisers, RO' , workers and competitors. It was great to see the worlds best competing and even better to see that even they can have a bad stage which gives the rest of us some hope. A big thanks to the US competitors and thanks for all the hints and tips etc. Looking forward to seeing you all, both over here and over there in the future. Bryan
  10. Bring loads of money. $12+ per pint in pub/hotel, can in off-licence/take-away from $5. Mucho expensive. Sorry to rain on your parade.
  11. Brownells stock is always running out and going to back order(maybe a good indication of price and service)
  12. Just to be pedantic, 1 other small mistake is that it dosent show the locking in of the mag release catch. Sorry but that caught me out first time. Otherwise absolutley fabulous.
  13. +1 on that.Even on 32rd COF 2 extended mags would easily cover it.
  14. I use the +3 on my G22 15rd mags(IPSC Standard Division) with no. 6 follower and 10% extra power springs and no other modifications and can easily load 18rds no problems.2 of the mags will take 19rds but will only load from slide lock.I just haven't had the time to play around with or cut the springs, but i would reckon that 19 reloadable is within reach. Hope this is useful.
  15. I personally use the Rs Trigger kit and after a bit of tweaking am extremely happy with it.
  16. Brownells do an aluminium trigger for the Glock. They wont send it to you if it is over $100 but check out the other Glock sites. Custom-Glock.com Glockmeister.com Glockstore.com Topglock.com Glockparts.com
  17. If you want to check out all the details for sure try http://ipsc.invisionzone.com/ This is the IPSC Forum, but beware Production is overseen by Vince Pinto whose favourite word is NO
  18. See following and note it applies to IPSC not to USPSA From IPSC rule book Original parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model handgun on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted, subject to the following: Modifications to them, other than minor detailing, are prohibited. Prohibited modifications include changing the original color and/or finish of a handgun, and/or adding stripes or other embellishments. Base plates and/or any other devices which provide additional ammunition capacity (e.g. "+2" magazine extensions), are prohibited. Sights may be trimmed, adjusted and/or have sight black applied. Aftermarket parts, components and accessories are prohibited, except as follows: Aftermarket magazines which match the external dimensions of standard magazines offered by the OFM for the approved handgun are permitted. Aftermarket sights of the same type and kind offered by the OFM for the approved handgun are permitted, provided their installation and/or adjustment requires no alteration to the handgun. Aftermarket grips which match the profile of the OFM standard for the approved handgun and/or the application of tape on grips is permitted, however, rubber sleeves are prohibited.
  19. IPSC Production Division DOES NOT allow modifications except extended mag release and extended slide release and fibre optic sights if they are offered by OFM.Internal parts ie trigger components or recoil rod and springs are a no no. Glock 35 and 35 and Springfield XD ported models are not allowed.
  20. Am considering getting Rescomp 18+1 mags but have heard conflicting reports as to compatability with magwells.Set-up is 126mm mags for IPSC Standard and either STI Magwell or Big A-symmetrical STI magwell.Anyone got any experience of this set-up?
  21. Try this link.Worked well for me. http://glockmeister.com/trigger.shtml
  22. Concur with ryucasta. After having the sme thing happen to me, posted here and got some replies and remedies. Then I got word from Ralph that he would replace spring(and more). I believe that any mechanism that is tweaked to the maxium will fail more than a run of the mill mechanism. So the moral of the story is that if you tweak, have the parts backed-up so if it does fail you can replace it.By the way, am so happy with the RS kit that I have persuaded(too strong a phrase, maybe led by example) 7 more Glock shooters to try the Rs kit.Excellant after-service.Recommended.
  23. Give gun a complete overhaul and cleaning and have been dry firing for 3 days now and have not had 1 failure to reset.Whilst cleaning noted a major build-up of crud around the plunger. Will not get to shoot till the weekend, but then again never had the problem whilst shooting live ammo.Hoping for the best. Thanks to everyone for all the help and suggestions.
  24. No, the problem is only when the pistol is unloaded. Remove mag, lock slide to the rear, release slide forward and no trigger reset, have to manually rack slide again to reset trigger.only happens when you lock slide to the rear not when you rack rack it. Dont have the problem whilst shooting
