  1. I’ve decided to get my gunsmith to unfreeze that plug screw
  2. I can find all the parts for the action spring assembly. I’m gonna buy them all and make a 2nd set. Kurtm, I don’t have a torch or anything to heat up that screw. And the damn screw only has 1/4 inch to grab. I’m pissed, I never gave up on a disassembly before. I also have figured out that the spring is the cause of my problem.
  3. I think my Versa competition is the newer because there isn’t a snap ring. It is just the tube screw and it won’t budge. Damn thing is frozen.
  4. Hey, Thank you guys. Great information. I might buy the action tube in case I screw up mine.
  5. Hey Kurtm so I disassembled the stock from the action tube. The he. Nut that holds the spring in the tube is not budging. I am nervous about applying too much torque and damaging the other end that attaches to receiver. Any ideas to loosen the nut.
  6. Thanks kurtm, could you expand on c and e clips. These small parts are my weakness. And what are technical measurements I need to take. I know it sounds ignorant of me but I am happy if I can get them. These small Remington parts are unattainable.
  7. Hi everyone, I am trying to buy small parts in action tube assembly. Specifically parts #4 and #8
  8. Thanks, I thought I had no reply but there was a duplicate post, my mistake. Benny told me to get Winchester AA 1200FPS 7.5 i did but still had hiccups but less. Then I lubed the rim of chamber area both inside and outside and outer most edge. 100 rounds no failure. I bought Fiocchi/Jerry Miculek 7.5 but didn’t try it today because I wanted a full day of quad loading and shooting without a jam. I’m tempted to not even try it because problem solved. Interesting that AA has 8 sections on hull and others have 6.
  9. I didn’t think it was possible to ask a question on this forum and get absolutely no reply. Is it me? Did I do something wrong? Would like to get advise…..
  10. Well thanks for all the replies. Lol. FYI I lubed the outer edge of chamber both inside and outside and it worked.
  11. Hi everyone, I have the VersaMax Competition Tactical for 6 years. I shot it in many matches and practice until covid. When I first bought it I sent it to Benny Hill of Triangle Shooting Sports in Texas. This gun has never jammed except for a couple of slug shots (no s#!t). Now that I’m back, it has been jamming. I cleaned it and put a new Nordic spring in it and the shell is getting hung up on entry to chamber in which case I pull back on bolt about an inch and then it runs. I’m gonna try to load pictures of the jam. Oh well too big. Anyways the shell appears to get hung up on the 3 o'clock position of the outer part of Chamber. I then did a mag dump of 14 shells and it ran fine. I then shot about 50 more rounds quadload ing and shooting 4 at a time and no jams. Don’t know if that cleared it up but I doubt it. Any ideas, please help me. I was shooting this gun in matches and hardly cleaning it.

  13. Hi All, I am trying to find long range rifle ranges in Georgia because I have a best friend moving from North East to GA. I live in SC and have no clue whats in GA. I have the Barrett M82 and we want to get together and I have been searching and searching with no results. I know every long range rifle range in SC but know there must be lists on this site. Could someone please help me. I know GA has more 3 gun matches and expect there are many great ranges. Thank you .
  14. Hi Guys, I am already replacing my Mags with beefier springer precision magazine springs. I dont know the factory recoil spring weight. (searched everywhere). Does anyone know the factory weight and what spring weight is recommended for shooting underwood 155 grain. Galloway Precision makes assembly for m&p. Also, I am convinced that S/w magazine springs compress their way to failure. I shot 250 rounds without failure and then it started. Please help me with the recoil spring weight for hot loads.
  15. Hello All, Does anyone know where I can find a longer version of the T Strap part of ratchet kit. I need about 15 inches. Please HELP!!!!
  16. No failures with the green monster yet and the loading port is huge compared to my jm pro.
  17. That’s good to know. Thanks for that. I’m gonna start getting ready for a falling steel match shotgun only. I’m 62 and 1 year of 3 gun. I need to speed up transitioning. For some reason when I view film of a match, I seem to pause after a load up and fist shot. It’s very frustrating. I hate the way it looks and I’m not even aware of it. I did advance from the bottom to just short of the 50% level. My advantage to shotgun falling steel is practicing quad loading till the cows come home and a private range to get my sight acquisition and transition speed. I love this sport!!!
  18. Ok, Ryan I’d love to exchange info with you. Didn’t know about parts falling like you said. Do you shoot 3 gun?
  19. Damn. You’re right about Remington. The gun store I bought from returned the first two. Three times a charm. Then Benny made it sing. Quadloading is wonderful with that huge loading port. I called and asked him what lube he uses because 1 1/2 months later, my bolt is still shiny and I haven cleaned it yet. Synthetic 10w-30 motor oil!!!!!! He’s been doing that with all guns. The oil doesn’t evaporate from extreme heat. UNBELIEVABLE. Lol
  20. That’s not mine. I had Benny Hill Friday Triangle Shooting Sports do mine. He did a great job and the gun runs great. No hiccups even when I mag dump 13+1 4 or 4 times in last month.
  21. Yes you’re right. I added a +5 to the Stock 8 round tube giving me 13 in the tube. No barrel clamp needed and no strikes from bird shot or any other load.
  22. Adamge, sorry for delay. This form would not allow pictures from my cell phone so I gave up. I’m going to download an app to resize and will give you pics. I can tell you that Benny Hill of Triangle Shooting Sports made my Vm Competition sing. Best money I ever spent
  23. Ok I’ll start. I’ll put some pics tonight. Running from party to party
  24. Is there a Barrel/Magazine clamp that fits over the carbon fiber schroud of VM Competition. I really need one.
  25. Thanks Adamge, I’m hoping to make this a central location for VM info. Triangle polishing and filed mine. Also I can quadload without a speed bump at the mag tube entry. Never heard of the fastener on shell latch. I will post pics.
