I'm going to try out some 9mm Berrys 135g hollow base flat point. Anyone tried these before?
Can't beat $78 per thousand shipped

I did a similar repair, made a couple of small burrs on the sharp edges of the dovetail + locktite. So far so good 2000 or more rounds

In Ulster, you just bring your license up to Kingston (County Seat - you'd be Goshen)
and they add it while you wait.
Sure just keep rubbing it in.
Orange county requires a judges signature, and pistol amendments are the last thing on their list of things to do. Although it has saved me some money as I'm sure I'd have a few impulse buys, if I could walk out the door with the gun. That's how they do it in free states I hear.

My list is getting longer

It seems the Orange county judges are a good group now. The problem seems to be wait times for amendments. Last October I waited 8 weeks for my permit to be ammended with the new pistol listed.

I run 147 bluebullets at 1.12 w231 @ 3.4g in a Rock Island 1911 5" barrel. About 3000 rounds and no issues.

I’m in WNY and there’s a ton of shooting around here. Where in NYS are you?
Down south, Orange county. Will be up that way in 2 weeks. Picking up my daughter from BU. Lucky for me it will be the last 6 hour trip. She got a transfer to Binghamton.

Indoor range for bad weather. Kinda costly.
Outdoor range at club. Reasonable cost
Both 20 minutes from home

Twice a week for the past year. About 150 rounds each time. Shooting with my wife is fun but her favorite question is "got another box"
I only give her 1 box at a time and she isn't allowed to use the speed loader.

The #1 thing I communicate to new shooters is the following,
"There is nobody rushing you. This is your time, breathe, do not feel rushed. Ill be right here; you can stop shooting at any time and turn your head/not your gun and ask me questions. It is just you and me. We are here to have fun!"
It calms them down (and me), quite a bit. I encourage everyone to communicate this to new shooters!
That sure does help a new competitor
