  1. If I do that, then my OCD kicks in and I'll want to clean it again. hahaha
  2. Both my Limcats have 4 leaf springs, my STIs have 3 leaf. I believe my Atlas has 3 as well.
  3. As would I. You'd think they would try to upsell but instead actualy saved me money by telling me that
  4. The only builder that I know of that offers Proof barrels as a build option is Cobalt Kinetics. I opted to pass as the barrels are only good for 7-10k rounds according to the guy I spoke to.
  5. The RPR is a nice rifle for short money. I use it for PRS matches and have no issues out to 650yds plus.
  6. I have both of these beauties, and so far the Cobalt shoots flatter. Both guns shooting same ammo, exactly the same weight
  7. Anyone have a preference on 4 leaf vs 3 leaf?? I noticed some of my guns use 4 leaf springs, and others use 3.
  8. Big fan of DPP 2.5. Find it to be pretty solid to the abuse. Leupold has a great warranty to go along.
  9. Cobalt only does custom orders, but they do have a bunch for sale on their website. I scored a really good deal not to long ago.
  10. If you had the money, and the choice, which would you choose? Cobalt's Team rifle or a JP? I know a lot of guys like to build custom, but lets just say right outta the box rifle.
  11. By the look of your gun, you have the new "detent" slide racker instead of the old screw type. That is the one thing I dont care for on my Limcat.
  12. The Nerd pistol coffin is designed for 3gun. They even had a warranty claim that if your gun fell out and you were DQ'd from a major match, they would reimburst your match fees. After watching my buddy get DQ'd for such an event, I boight the pistol coffin.
  13. So at least Im not the only one who cleans after every time!
  14. It seems like when I use PowerPistol, I am cleaning a ton of carbon.
  15. My 226 legion sao will do a slide drop if you throw the mag in hard enough No need for slide release. I started out with a 9mm, then bought a .40 slide, and then even had a custom open/carry optic slide built. A buddy of mine works at Sig, and managed to get his hands on a few extra X5 parts, and we converted the factory 226 legion into a 226 x5. Beautiful shooting gun. Told to use all Mecgar mags.
  16. I was actually told by some shooters that their slides will slow down from the gun being dirty. I have the OCD going on, so I can never confirm that theory myself.
  17. I choke the life out of the grip, to where I will have the texture imprinted on my hands after a stage.
  18. So maybe this has been beaten to death somewhere else, but I am curious how often you guys clean your open guns? I clean mine, including comp after every time I shoot it, and have been called OCD, and told to wait until the slide starts to slow down before bothering. Thoughts?
  19. You can go poor mans open and shoot carry optic. See if you like the red dot, and then maybe go full open.
  20. I have 3 DPP, and only 1 is doing it.
  21. I found that a nice large pelican case is good to hide things. I drive through Mass to shoot. I also bought a Honda Ridgeline, and it has the trunk to tuck things away. As far as bags, anything that works. I carry enough parts to basically rebuild my gun on the fly.
  22. Does anyone have an issue with the dot getting distorted, kind of like a starburst effect??
