  1. You were right, i the adjust was way off in one direction (down) i turned the adjust up and the problem is gone now. Thank you very much, i never heard that this was possible, but im glad its fixed now. Thanks!
  2. Thanks guys, i Ill check the if the zero isnt turned all the way up tomorrow, and if that doesnt make a difference ill just send it for repairs.
  3. Allright ty, i havent zeroed it yet, ill make sure to check that. Seems just weird to me that it dissapears in the top half, thought maybe someone with a venon could confirm if its normal or not?
  4. Hi, Just bought a vortex venom, the dot dissapears in the top part of the glass. Middle/left/right etc no problems. Is this normal?
  5. Very Nice, i shoot ipsc with an elite combat atm, but i have to get used to the higher bore axis, since im used to glock. Recoil feels a bit snappier as with a glock, but the trigger and accuracy are way better with te canik
  6. Any difference shooting wise? Recoil etc? Or about the same?
  7. Thanks, lots of good info shot timer wise there isnt much difference, although i didnt test it that much yet. i was just wondering wich one has the most effecient/natural bodymechanics to leave the position
  8. So im quite curious about this, and what you guys prefer. 3 open targets right in front, after shooting them you have to move lets say to the right. What is the most effecient way to engage and leave position? Shoot right to left, or left to right? For me it feels most natural to shoot right to left and sort of fall out of of position to move to the right. But im really curious if im doing it right?
  9. Thanks for the tips guys, ill give m a go
  10. Awesome read, keep it up, i'm cheering for you
  11. quick question, what is the fastest way to move sideways? when you have to move a few meters lateral, lets say 2-3 meters, how do you move sideways? cross feet?
  12. And with some guns it says on the list "with magwell removed" doenst say that for the canik
  13. Thanks, i was curious because with the x5 it specificaly mentions " with magwell removed" it doenst do that with the combat elite..but ill guess it will have to go off then..
  14. Hi all, Quick question, the canik elite combat is on the production allowed list, but it comes with a factory magwell..do i need to remove te magwell?or is it allowed, since it comes on the gun from the factory and its just on the list. The sig p320x5 is on the list but its says, " if the magwell is removed" it does not say that for the canik.. Anyone knows? Thanks,
  15. Hi all, I was wondering what the most common used grip pressure is.. I read brian's book and it made perfect sense, i can rely most of it right back to me, the only thing that "confuses" me is his point about grip pressure, brian talks about have the gun fairly loose. Yet ben stoeger uses a death grip with his support hand, now when i use the "death grip" with my support hand it really works wonders for me. If i grip the gun a bit looser with my support hand i immidiatly see my groups getting bigger when shooting a bill drill for example. now i know that i should use what works for me, but i was just wondering, since almost everything in brians book makes sense to me,and is really well thought out and working for me. Is it because stuff has evolved a bit? That the support hand death grip is a common used thing nowadays? Or am i able to get the same results by loosing up a bit and just training with it? My gun really seems to rise way higher and shots open up with brians technique, yet with a death/crush grip if i really focus on gripping the gun hard my shots are almost alway right next to each other.. Any thoughts?
  16. Thanks, thats definitely an encouragement! Ill just go for it and make sure to keep fun the most important instead of staring at the sky. Thanks,
  17. Firearms nation podcast has really got stuff imo, cover lots of top shooters And practical shooting after dark ofcourse
  18. Thanks, im having great fun doing it, i just wish i discovered it 15 years earlier.. I know its highly unlikely ill get as good as any of those guys, but for peace of mind i would just like to know if its possible at my age or if im just to late.. Its hard to find ages of current top shooters or at what ages they started..heard of people making GM in a year but i can never find at what ages they started
  19. Im 33 and i feel like im a late starter already, in very competitive, do i still have a shot age wise at getting to the top? Or did all the top dogs start in childhood and is it impossible to get to that level at my age?
  20. Hi all, Discovered ipsc 2,5 years ago and wanted to get into it, since a firearms permission takes about 2,5 years here i had to wait patiently, but i finaly got it and now im completely hooked, i wish i discovered it 15 years earlier but well thats life i guess.. Trying to soak up as much info as i can and learn as much as i can (even thoug m not really a new shooter, am in law enforcement for 15 years now) but there is so much to learn and im loving it. My only issue is that im 33years old, is it still possible at this age to get somewhere in this sport? I know it all depends on the person/ability/time put in ofcourse, but if i read interviews with all the top dog shooters they all seem to have started at a really young age? Can i still get to say a GM level at this age or is that really hard to achieve? Thanks for all and feel free to ask any questions
