  1. I just purchased the Kiger 9C (one of the Glock 19 gen 3 clones) a few weeks ago after seeing a review for the pistol on the web. I have never been a big Glock fan, they just didn't fit my hand well and I never shot them very well, not a hater of Glocks as I know they are great guns, just not for me. This one was calling my name and just having to have it as my last name is Kiger, my badge number was 324 3+2+4 =9 and I was a COUNTY police office for over 20 years. The Kiger is made by Anderson Manufacturing in my home state of Kentucky, so it was pretty much a given to own. I was able to get it to the range the next day and was pleasantly surprised at how well it shot. I ran a few triple tap drills with it and the results were not bad, much better than I expected. I believe the styling of the grip, more squared off, aggressive texturing and no hump just fit my hand better. I would give the trigger a fair rating but no where near my Sig X5 with the GG kit at 2.5 lbs, the Kiger came in at 5.4 lbs on my gauge right out of the box. The trigger has some creep on the take up, but a good crisp break and short reset, it's been so long since I shot a factory Glock I can't compare. I ended up adding some extra mags as it come with one 15 round Magpul mag. I added 3 more 15s a 17 and a 27. Having never owned a Glock, I was really surprised how cheap it was to add the extras compared to my Sigs, I was able to add the five for slightly more that one 21 for my X5. I ran 300 rounds thru it with only two failure to feeds and both on the 27 mag with with 147 gr. FMJ America Eagle, there was a lot of mag hanging out the bottom of the well. I ended up running some steel at the range and times were fair for the first time out with a new pistol. The grip on the Kiger really make it a fairly flat shooter with the stippling points just below the rails. In the end I like the Kiger and will be adding it to my pistols I would carry. It won't replace my 2 P365s for CCW or the X5 for competitive shooting but it will see some service as I have added a Streamlight TLR 7A flex to the package and IWB holster to fit. I got mine at KY GUN CO in Bardstown KY
  2. Your Fine on the spring, I have a post upgrade X5 and when installing the GG trigger kit thought I'd lost it also. After a hour and a half search called Sig and it has been deleted from the gun with the upgrade.

    What happened?

I don't reload and have never had this happen with my X5. I have read of this happening and a possible cause of being stepped brass that is unknowingly loaded to normal brass specs. I really don't know what that means, but it somehow effects the pressure. Just passing along some info I saw on the net, so you know it must be true!!
  4. LOL Reminds me of when I put the GG kit in my post recall build X5, I know I spent 45 minutes or more looking for the lift spring on the kitchen floor until I called Sig CS to order one, that's when I found out they are not in post recall builds.

    P320 X5 Thread

Being a retired LEO and Instructor for the department I completely agree that the GG Competition Kit does not belong in any carry P320. I have it installed in my X5 and it is a great kit for that gun with a 2.5 lbs. pull, but I would never use it in any gun that I would use as a carry weapon.
  6. I favor the straight trigger and have the standard Gray Guns Comp kit that comes in just about 2.5lbs. It has an over travel bushing and feels great to me with a nice break.
  7. Can't speak for the Ghost, but even the 30 day wait is worth it for RHT.

    P365 For CCW

Oh, I understand the value of leather and I agree with you on the longevity of it. I still have most of my holsters from my LE days, they didn't even make Kydex back then. I like the look of the Milt Spark but I would want to find one in person before dropping that much on it.

    P365 For CCW

Took a look at their web site and they look very nice, something I'll have to do some more checking on. I like the leather holster but will have to say these are a little higher priced than most I have considered. What makes them stand out for you compared to others? Brian, I tried one of the crossbreeds and my issue was the spring steel belt clips are right in the way when trying to grip it for a draw, maybe the position I like to carry at causes this.

    P365 For CCW

Thanks for the feed back on holsters, there are a lot of options to consider and I appreciate the input. The LGS have a very limited selection and I have ordered a few off Amazon with my prime membership to try. One that I came across was made by Barrels & Gear, it is a Kydex holster that has a super thin leather lining almost like suede like. This makes for a really stable snug fit with no audible sound when holstering or drawing your pistol. It has a single belt clip that is easy to install and secure on your belt unlike some of the spring steel type clips I have tried. I'll try to post a picture later but this may be the one.
  11. I run a Vortex Razor on a Springer plate on my X5 but don't have the recovery issue, it seemed to need a little downward press when I first stared shooting it. I have considered milling the slide, but just haven't taken the step yet. The poor performance history of the Romeo 1 keep me from ever trying the direct mount so I have no concept of what that would be like.
  12. Ran a Vortex Razor on a Springer plate on my standard X5 all last year with no issues. It has the same foot print as the R3 I don't see any reason to change.

    P365 For CCW

I looked at the Vedder site and the RAPIDTUCK IWB looks interesting although a much larger holster than I had planned on trying. From what I see it would give a cushion of leather between the gun and your body. After trying the Sig Ambi, the Kydex edges can be as uncomfortable as anything else when wearing it IWB. For those of you that have the Vedder did you get the Rapidtuck and if so which leather did you go with, the cowhide or the horsehide? I will be carrying in the 3-4 o'clock position as it's just what I've done for years and to late to relearn gun position at this point in life. I have used several paddle or kelp spring holsters over the years, but never had a IWB. Anyone else have a suggestion ?

    P365 For CCW

Got out to the range this afternoon and ran 200 rounds thru it. Love the way it shoots, just need to work on my grip with this baby Sig. Ended up shooting a little low and left but pretty much on me not the P365. No malfunctions and checked several spent casing and only one showed any striker drag and really not that bad just barely smeared from the center. Last twenty round were 124 gr Federal Nyclads I have left over from my LE days, talk about a tack driver with muzzle flash. Every time I pulled off a round there was a bright white halo just past the front site. Now to find a good holster as the Sig Ambi pretty much sucks for my use, but for $20 I really didn't expect much. Looks like it's going to be a winner!

    Introduction

Welcome, enjoy the Sig ride!! I for one have never been a Glock fan, I'm sure they are nice guns but just not to my taste and fit. My first striker fired gun was an X5 that I fell in love with over time, I just added a P365 to my collection and planning on making it my everyday CCW. I still like and carry my FN FLP 40, but if the baby Sig proves out, I'm guessing it will see a lot of time.

    P365 For CCW

Pick it up today, hoping to get it to the range Thursday to run a few rounds thru it and see how it does. Not a big fan of the Sig Ambi holster at this point, but will git it a better try.

    P365 For CCW

That is a good looking rig and certainly minimalistic. I would definitely try this if I don't get a Lima laser. I'm at the point of trying to decide on the Lima laser or just staying stock. I ordered a Sig holster off of Amazon that convertible OWB, IWB and Left or Right handed just to make sure I had something when the P365 arrives. Not sure it will be my go to, but for $20 it will at least be ok while I consider the Lima.

Anyone try the Sig Lima Laser on their P365? If so what are your thoughts and any ideals why the green is so much higher than the red?

    P365 For CCW

Sorry missed the hot link when I read it first time. If the link worked right that looked like a OWB holster. I'm looking for an IWB that will work on my hip if possible, not sure I want one for just appendix carry.

Is that the Techna Clip that replaces the rear slide cover? I saw that listed on Sportsman's web site, it looked interesting and certainly minimalistic.

    P365 For CCW

Well, I just ordered a P365 Nitron with 2 10 round mags, from Sportsman Warehouse as they sent me a code for $100.00 off saving. I had been looking at the P365 SAS for concealed carry but even with my LE discount it was $106 higher cost before shipping and FFL fees and with the night sites on this one I'm thinking it will be fine. I had the opportunity to shoot a P365 just like I ordered and it handled the 115 and 124 grain loads very well. I really didn't have any trouble controlling it and I don't see a disadvantage to having the sites on it as opposed to the SAS type site. It is set to arrive at my local Sportsman on 12/10 and when I get to the range we'll let you know more. Now have to shop for a holster, been considering the Alien Shape Shift due to all the options it comes with. Any thought on it or others you would consider? I prefer carrying on my right hip IWB

    Romeo 1 Pro

The factory sites that comes on the X5 were designed to work with the original Romeo 1, I would guess that it would be the same with the Romeo 1 Pro. There were a lot of owners that complain about how high the rear site had to be adjusted due to this when not running a red dot. I cannot confirm or deny how well it works having never used a Romeo 1
  23. Be careful, when I got my X5 there was a $50 rebate and it had a sixty or ninety day expiration date. No knowledge on the Legion program on my part, but I got mine by e-mail and it clearly stated it on the form.

    P320 X5 Thread

I read an article were another shooter was having similar issues with another type of pistol chambered in 9mm. though some investigation and a smart reloader it was determine that stepped brass was the issue. I don't reload so I really don't know what the correct terms are, but apparently due to this type of brass pressures change and cause this issue. I'm not sure but I have read also that a lot of the overseas ammo uses stepped brass when they manufacture new ammo. I just got a case of MaxxTech 124 9mm made in Bosnia and apparently it is one of them.
  25. In the X5 they function with 21 rounds no problem, some have reported that when used in the new X5 Legion they are having issues with 21 rounds loaded. There is a difference in the slide ramp between the two X5's.
