  1. Steel frame yes, they did not offer the trigger job when I purchased.  I did the steel grip and love it, I have smallish hands and some guns the reach to trigger is too much but with this one the short curved even with the giant grip fits great.  I did the competition blend as fit and feel there is important as I said I have smaller hands.  They did not offer a tool-less guide rod when I ordered but I found that the atlas blackened one was a drop in replacement.

Absolutely love it, its my favorite gun to shoot.  Cannot recommend it highly enough and that Tungsten color looks absolutely amazing in person, IMO.

They’re still polymer though.  I love the Strike One design and love the new all metal models from Italy.

    ...

From their website the ergal and ergal pro are optic cut already...is there a plate or is it milled for a specific footprint?

...If you're having trouble with reach, check out LoK grips.  They may make some that are thinner.  I've got big hands so the Palm Swells were great for me.

Yeah I have the thin bogie Loks and can only articulate with the tip of my finger.

Never underestimate the power of free stuff to get people to say things! Lol

  4. How does the ZR guide rod change the feel?

I love my pdp sf but i'm thinking I may have to sell it as my hands are just too small for its trigger reach.  Wish they had a pdp f in steel frame.

One of my club members just had a miserable time with VGW customer service while trying to order a Priest.  Pushed him right into an Atlas.  Unfortunate and certainly avoidable, I would think.

Interesting I would love to hear what problems he had.  I have had nothing but extremely positive interactions with their customer service.

    Can anyone verify?

    1.    What configuration options are necessary for the Priest to make weight for IDPA CO (45oz) with SRO optic and empty magazine? (short dust cover etc.)
    2.    Does the Priest fit the IDPA carry optics box?
    3.    If so, are 126mm magazines with angled basepad necessary to fit the box?

I can't fully help you but my 5" with full dust cover, steel grip, with an SRO is 44.0oz with no mags.  So you definitely would need to go with short dust cover or not the steel grip.  Not sure what dimensions the box is but I can measure for you if you share the max size.

yeah i was just reading through all that. I have 6 of the 140mm atlas mags and they all work perfectly in my voodoo.

How interesting, I cannot imagine that the Atlas followers differ but the ones I tried were 126mm mags.

weird. I only use atlas mags in mine and its fine..

Wow really???  I don't know if you saw my earlier posts but the atlas followers cause mine to lock back with a round left in the mag.  Swapping to mbx followers fixed the problem and you can see where the geometry of the atlas follower hits even with a round in mag.

any further update from vudoo? are they changing anything?

No they did not say anything about making any changes.  Another poster commented on the grip that won't have any effect from what I can see, it is the geometry of the Atlas follower that causes the problem.  Its an easy fix with a file if you want to use Atlas mags.

the MBX followers look like a crappy 3D print. at least the ones I've had and seen. i guess im missing something

They are obviously 3d printed but their geometry is slightly different from the Atlas ones.  Going forward I will stick with the mbx ones as they work without modification.

ive had bad luck mith MBX mags in my H-TAC and my artemis i just buy Atlas mags now they have never given me an issue. definately could be your issue

As I have said elsewhere in this thread, yes the Atlas mags followers do not work without slight modification.  The MBX  ones work great.  The various 2011 mags have slightly different geometry in the follower which makes all the difference.

Okay, let me know how that works out for you!

Follower geometry was the problem.  Swapping with the mbx followers and those worked fine.  I 3d printed a copy of the atlas follower and filed it down about 1mm and it worked fine.  (3d printed just to test it non-destructively.)

Candidly its a non issue just be aware some mag followers may not work without slight modifications.  But like I said several times the mbx followers are 100% reliable to-date.

Put each one of those mags in the gun with one round in them and the slide locked back and see if the follower is anywhere near the slide lock! I'l guarantee it isn't! The followers aren't causing the problem.

Please go back and read the post you quoted.  I already did that and it is the follower as I said.

The area circled in the picture is higher in the atlas follower than the MBX follower.  When I swapped followers with an mbx follower it works correctly.  It is 100% the follower geometry.  I haven't yet tried it but I suspect strongly that sanding down that part of the follower probably even as little as a mm would fix the atlas follower in this gun.

  14. Talked to Vudoo and they said that they have found compatibility issues with some mags including Atlas.  I am about 95% sure that I could just slightly file down the tip of that atlas mag follower and fix the problem.  If I can find a decent 3d scanner software I might try 3d printing a copy of it and see if that fixes it.

  15. Take a look at the attached picture, on the left is an MBX mag that came with the Priest on the right is an Atlas mag.  Its hard to see but I circled in red the part of the follower that pushes on the slide lock.  In the Atlas mag on the right it is angled slightly more where the front is higher (I didn't have the two mags perfectly parallel, it looks more pronounced in person) and, as best as I can determine, that is the part engaging the slide lock.  I plan on calling Vudoo later today and seeing what they say.

  16. Found one issue with my Priest.  Borrowed two Atlas 126mm mags from a friend and interestingly the Priest locks back with a round in the mag.  This happens both mags, every time, I can replicate with dummy rounds.  Doesn't matter how many rounds I load the slide locks with 1 round in the mag.  I am guessing its a follower problem with the Atlas followers in the Priest but I haven't explored that yet.

Just received mine and am very impressed. The fit, finish, and feel of it is awesome. I have not shot it yet, but will sometime next week.

Let us know how you think it shoots?  I've only got around 500-750 rounds through mine but so far it has been flawless.  I am slightly more accurate and slightly faster with several drills with the Priest than I am with my S2 (as you would hope for the price difference).
