Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. It is way better than the Q5poly, i have both , everyone shoots both and says the Poly version is "S**T" compared to the Q5SF. My wife shot the Q5SF for only 200 rds and improved tremendously with 11 more alpha's on a course with a possibility of 16 alpha's and knocked 9 seconds off her time . She raved about how much easier it was to keep the dot on target and never lost sight of the dot in the field of view. With a 1000 or so rds more of practice she will be able to move from a Class B to a Class A shooter. Also I put the DPM recoil reduction system in ,perfect now on snap and dip.
  2. Told that in april there will be another shipment from over seas, If you want one now you are gonna have to pay to play. But also most of the ones arriving have already been spoken for or have been prepaid. Don't think that they will be easy to find the whole year. If you ever shoot one, you will hate you waited! Best striker fire gun on the planet as of n ow.
  3. Medium backstrap on Q5 POLY is close to stock Q5 SF
  4. I have the Q5poly ,XDM osp and had a glock 34 mos , it shoots way flatter and easier than any poly frame gun, you will be impressed. Been shooting the Q5poly for a year now(10 to 15 thousand rds ) It only took me about 400 rds thru the Q5SF before I was shooting closer double taps and consistent .15 to .17 splits and 30 yd alph's. Even someone that doesn't have good grip pressure can get better control on the Q5SF. My wife out shoots alot of the men that shoot poly guns with the Q5SF. couldn't do that before when she shot the XDMosp.
  5. Just purchased the new Q5SF,also have the Q5 poly, XDM osp,and CZ Shawdow 2 Finally a striker fire steel frame gun. This gun shoots just as good as the CZ Shawdow 2 (maybe better)and its not a DA/SA!!!. Got a Leupold DPP 2.5 optic(best for competition use)also have trijicon RMR, and Vortex Venom, 2.5 moa dot never leaves viewing window under recoil. Even when my wife shoots it ,she can control it much better than any other 9mm she has shot. (which means I got to buy another one). I have been able to use all of my existing accessories from the Q5poly, my Boss holster(heat up bottom of holster where extended rail dust cover is, push gun in, let cool, perfect fit),Sprinco trigger spring kit works, Sprinco recoil management system works( make hole in end of guide rod bigger(1/8) for tab on break down lever to fit in). Have shot 9 different kinds of ammo, 115gr,124gr,147gr and 150gr all worked flawlessly. Best group at 25yds was Atlanta Arms JHP, 3 shots all in a 1/2 in a circle, best competition load Federal Syntec 150 ,1 5/8in circle. This was shot from a gun vise to remove human area. Have read about people having trigger safety hanging up (which is not having middle of finger pad on trigger)but to help with this just put a rubber band around trigger to hold safety latch against trigger over night for a week(removes some of spring tension). Also if it stove pipes its most likely poor gun control. If you loose site of dot when shooting you are not holding your support hand tight enough. If any other questions I might be able to answer, i will try, going to shot again today. Have shot this gun 8 days in the last 2 weeks and it still amazes me!!!
