  1. For some reason I thought that if you did anything in between hammer down and holster it was a DQ.
  2. Its interesting you posted this because I did a bit of the same thing, but didnt get DQed. I unloaded to show clear, hammer down, and bent over to pick up the round before holstering. I never even considered I could have been Dqed for something like that. I didnt sweep though.
  3. Just swapped in the (.) connector and it makes for a pretty nice trigger with a 4.5# striker spring, reduced power FPB spring, and a reduced power TRS. I have no desire at the moment for anything better except maybe an gen 5 overtravel stop housing. If I come across a stock connector for a few bucks I might try it just for the feel, but im pretty happy with the pull on the dot. Just wish it had a little more of a wall.
  4. It was a joke. I basically had to figure it out because their answer was that "it fits, youre installing it wrong" Seriously, the bend in the end that fits in the follower is about 1/8" bigger than stock, it doesnt fit... I did some weird like shepard's hook bend into it and it fits nice and tight now.
  5. Shot a morning and afternoon match on Saturday 53 of 101 62.90% - 1 no shoot 81 of 101 52.60% - 3 no shoots 5 and 13th of 15 in CO I was roughly 20-25 seconds slower over 6 stages than everyone above me. Stages heavily favored PCC. 16 of the top 30 contenders were PCC. Everything for the most part went fine, No equipment issues, gun/ammo ran fine. This was my first match with the G34, first match with a dot. First encounter with a Texas star. Ive been itching to get out and shoot and it was an awesome match. Observations - Aiming with a dot is significantly faster and better for my focus style. I dont see myself going back to irons anytime soon. I also like being able to focus on shooting and less on reloads with the 23 round mags. I did notice that I slowed down to let the dot settle, especially on double taps and long shots. I just need more time on the dot and the glock platform. My stance, footwork, and movement speed were significantly better this match. Despite working on grip strength and grip technique overall, It was not a conscious thought during the course of fire. Still shooting 124s, gonna try to make it to the range this week to test the 147s and a lighter recoil spring.
  6. Gen 5 G34s wont stay in battery with stock striker springs and a 13# ismi recoil spring... Ask me how I know... Works fine with a 4.5# striker spring though
  7. Ive had good luck with the TTIs so far, not a scratch on them even after dropping on gravel. No feed issues. They will fit 23, but its very tight; I usually only load to 22. Ill be picking up a few pmags for short stages and for the indoor matches so im not dropping $70 mags on concrete.
  8. I had to bend the portion of the spring that the follower clicks onto. TTI sent me a useless video showing me how to get the factory spring in, but it REQUIRED modification in order to click in properly
  9. Im a newer shooter, I buy reman ammo from Fenix or Angelfire which have been trustworthy, but squibs in general terrify me. 147gr 130PF loads are already soft so im just a bit apprehensive if ill be able to tell the difference between a regular round and a no powder load in the heat of a match.
  10. Yeah, factory gen 5 34 is 17lb, so youre on the right track.
  11. Oh, thats cheap, ill snag one at that price.
  12. Thats my experience as well. I like having a solid wall and the long rolling break is just weird. Im having a difficult time with timing and finding a predictable break point with the TTI. My P10C with a 3# FP spring has a little heavier of a pull, but its much cleaner and more predictable. Im going to try the stock - connector again, and see if I can snag a cheap dot and or standard connector.
  13. My mind still says lighter recoil spring. Perhaps the weight of the can increasing pressure/friction on the barrel/slide is making it cycle slow enough that the recoil spring is stopping it partial stroke.
  14. I might be buying the Glockstore model and or the OEM in the future. The Ghost Tac one appears to fix the problem, but it actually is stiffer than the factory release from the angle that you press on the mag release. It also took a good bit of sanding to fit it the same way the OEM fits into the grip. I couldnt see a real difference in the way that the mag release spring seats in the Ghost release, but the Ghost is definitely harder to actuate and I still have to change my grip so back to OEM I go.
  15. Finally got to test the new setup. Shoots great on 124gr, doesnt cycle with 147 gamer loads. Probably need a slightly lighter recoil spring. Mainly been working on grip strength since my last update, started dryfiting with the 34 this week in prep for a club match on Sat. Im itching to shoot a match something fierce.
  16. There were a few places that were supposed to be getting shipments this week but I guess that all went to hell.
  17. Ive had good luck with Amarok Tactical's competition holsters. Caleb will get you squared away and you can do single or dual layer kydex if you wish as well.
  18. For factory ammo, im not sure then. Does it run fine with the same ammo not supressed?
  19. Depends on how patient you are. SRO last I heard just got pushed back until June, I have no clue when the Romeo Max is coming out. Id pick up a new or used DPP to tie you over unless you want something like a Vortex venom/FF3. I think @Rich406 still has a used DPP left for $280
  20. Or, the FTF is caused by the lighter loads not being able to cycle the slide far enough preventing a full stroke to load the next round. Im running into this right now on gamer 130PF 147gr loads. OP, what round/load are you using? Any other mods on the gun?
  21. All my experience stems from the P10C, so take it with a grain of salt. I believe the striker assy is the same though. Buy the HBI trigger kit, it comes with striker springs too. 3.5# and a 3# (factory is 4.5#) The 3.5# actually hits slightly harder than the OEM spring, and the 3# hits at about 75% of the OEM. I run the 3# and I have never had a light strike on CCI, S&B, or Federal primers. About 3k rounds. I stuck with the 3# because I also have the factory striker and im thinking that the lighter spring might be easier on the brittle striker. As for recoil springs, if it uses the same length guide rod as the P10C the 18 is good for 124gr low PF loads, and the 15 works well with the 147gr low PF loads. Ive seen a 13#, but never needed it. Might be useful for something like steel challenge and sub minor PF loads.
  22. Id bet money that the new OEM recoil spring is too heavy or not worn in enough. Swap the recoil springs and give it a shot.
  23. Probably to allow for more flexible load development, ive also heard that KKMs lock up much more solidly that factory gen 5 barrels.
  24. At some point I will be ordering a JG trigger, but for now the TTI GM kit is mostly what I need. I might try a dot connector at some point too.
  25. Ive looked around and eyeballed RHT, but I have a guy I found on Reddit that makes great dual layer holsters, and molds for a smooth draw. Amarok Tactical. Caleb is an awesome dude. A big group of guys at my local matches shoot with GunnerXShooting's "Secure Retention Holsters" Theyre basically dual layer holsters that have a turnstyle friction lock with magnet attached. When you go up to shoot, you flip the turnstyle and have almost no retention/drag on the gun, when you holster you flip it back down and you literally cannot pull it out. Theyre still building their website, so they do orders through FB.
