  1. Can anyone share how you remove the trigger and hammer pins? Thanks.
  2. Yup, it works. I just got mine today.
  3. I agree. Although this doesn't give me any confidence about Armscor's life time warranty on the gun This choke removal tool from Dissident Arms is handy for those who installed the comp. http://dissidentarms.com/index.php/product/dabriley-choke-wrench-for-vepr-12/
  4. my large comps arrived today (2 of them) and neither contained the front set screw. I guess this is the best QC you can expect from a budget brand.
  5. Thanks a lot for the reply. Just got an email from Advanced Tactical indicating both comps now come with the nut.
  6. Contacted Armscor today to get the barrel nut that replaces the shroud when you install the muzzle break. Was told to buy the small comp as it comes with the nut (the large comp doesn’t include the nut). Is that true? I thought a few folks here got the nut for free ... thanks.
  7. Took my brand new VR80 to the range this morning and used Remington game Load (1 oz, 1290 FPS) for breaking in. Took about 80 rounds for the gun to eject and cycle reliably. Had to significantly lower the front sight post for the gun to shoot point of aim at 50 yards using slug. The factory MOD choke throws a tighter pattern than the MOD choke from my Beretta 1301 Comp at 25 yards. The big surprise was that I could not mount my Aimpoint Pro with Scalar Leap mount because the rail on the gun is too wide.
  8. Do magazines for Panzer 12 work on VR80? Thanks.
  9. I have 5 JPs (2 JP15, 3 GMR15) and have no complaints about their products or customer service. After building my own using mostly V Seven, Criterion, Geissele, and JP parts, however, I will not buy another factory rifle. Don’t build to save money (you most likely won’t), do so to truly understand how the firearm operates. if you don’t see yourself taking the gun apart to trouble shoot, I suggest you just buy a complete JP (nothing wrong with trusting the experts when it comes to firearms).
  10. Just running factory Blazer CCI 115gr, I don’t reload. Maybe the STIs are built with higher tolerance but they run fine with the ammo.
  11. First time poster here. I bought an Atlas Titan in 9mm along with a STI Marauder and a STI DVC 3 Gun a couple of months ago. The STIs have run without any issues with all of my brand new gen 2 STI mags (four 126 mm, six 140 mm, three 170 mm). The Titan experiences FTF with all of the 170 mm and FTE with one of the 140 mm mags. I personally find the DVC to be the best value among the three (great trigger, accurate, well balanced for fast transitions, reasonably priced for what you get); in fact, just bought another one as my back up.
