  1. Hey guys, just purchased a CZ P10C Optics Ready pistol.  I have its baby brother the P10S and got a good deal on the C.  I don't really use red dots for carry guns, and shoot Open in USPSA, but was mulling slapping a red dot on the C for when my local club has an IDPA match (don't judge).  Curious as to what options there are for plates and optics for the C and what you guys are using and success/failures you have had with putting an optic on this gun.  Appreciate the help/advice and thank you in advance.

I'm not saying he is wrong, but that's easily 3 times the amount of oil I use.  Pistol looked and sounded slick, though.

I oil the hell out of it, as they describe in the video, and have not had one issue with the functioning of the gun.  i have now put almost 4k through it without a malfunction.  They recommend running it very wet, and wet it shall be.

Just received the email that I have been waiting for.. pistol will be at my FFl dealer on Monday..

Not sure, but it seems like they tend to ship the guns on Thursdays meaning customers get them on Monday.  Not sure why the guns aren't shipped on Wednesday's so people get them Friday with the 2-day shipping.  I ma not sure if their policy is to ship guns on Thursdays, but a lot of the guys i have talked to seem to get that tracking email on Thursdays.

  4. I got my Honcho 2 weeks ago.  I ordered mine only in 9 major.  I only want to shoot open so i didn't feel the need for a limited or 9 minor barrel.  Liking it a lot.  Only issue I had was the trigger is 3+ pounds.  Other folks i talked to have lighter but mine gauges consistently at over 3.  I will tweak it and lighten it.  Good luck.

I was quoted 12/14 weeks back in Dec 9, than Covid hit plus a the coating factory accident and things got extremely delayed...  I remain hopeful, and I can't wait to get mine.  6 months and counting :( I was told 2 weeks and that my build is being sent to coating, but???  Who knows at this time~ 😏

    You are still waiting?

The locking block just happens to be the entire piece this Guin is built around, so I would say it's a big deal. I saw it broken. Gun locked up on the last stage of a match with two targets left. Couldn't even rack the slide. Huge deal if you ask me.  If that was a major and he had no back up gun, that's it! 9 Major gun running running 175PF, nothing crazy. I'm just letting people know and for it to show for the record because you know PT isn't going to broadcast that crap, they think their sh** don’t stink. You're welcome.

Never said it wasn't a big deal...I said one failure is not a trend.

I heard about a locking block crack, I hope that doesn't become a trend.

One failure is not a trend.  I have seen practically every gun builder have issues at some point with a part or gun, overall. Statistically, one is an anomaly.  Kinda throwing a grenade out there with no verifiable information.  If anybody on here that has a Honcho speak up if they had a crack in their locking block.

  8. Ordered mine just after Christmas....reading these posts isn't helping especially during this damn quarantine....loaded test rounds and can't go into full production of ammo until I can test with my gun.  Agree with some of the posters that communication is a problem.  Most people will understand that there are issues if they are simply told about it.  Had some buddies order guns last year from another builder, which shall remain nameless that started to get pretty big and then the QC really suffered as they ramped up production.  I realize these are mechanical devices and problems will invariably happen.  When I ordered from PT my fear was that with the big sales they had on Black Friday and Christmas and their growing popularity the same thing may happen.  I am not saying it is happening but the lack of communication is a red flag.  Its free to send an email, keep customers in the loop. That being said, I am still excited for the build and for the guys that already got this, I have a ton of toilet paper and would gladly trade some for your Honcho.

Let me clear the air a little and speak to my issues.  This is Paul by the way, who has been referenced a few times in this thread.  My initial issue was the problem (which has been mentioned in earlier post for this thread ) was around the disco, with the new coating it was very tight so debris got stuck and affected the trigger.  After we contacted PT, they immediately sent us (overnight) new disco that corrected the problem.

My other issue I had was self induced.  While putting the gun back together (the lower) I had got my safety stuck and couldn’t remove it due to it getting hung up on the sear spring.  The center leg of the sear spring was wedged between the sear and the disconnecter and I couldn’t move the safety at all   I had sent the gun back to PT and they quickly turned it around once they fixed it. (1 DAY), Again that issue was self induced.   Also a separate issue, while lightly sanding the front strap (extra aggressive) I inadvertently rubbed some of red anodized paint off of my red magwell, really was bummed out about that as it was essentially brand new.  Without any prompting, Brian had replaced with a new one with our me even asking them to fix that, which was a really nice surprise and I thought really good customer service.

Today (Sat.) had a match with the gun and it ran flawless and I really enjoyed shooting it.  The gun shoots very flat and ran great.  Overall my experience has been very positive, and they were quick to correct any issues and even problems that were caused by me and not the gun.

So that has been my experience so far with the gun, loving the Honco and they have addressed all my issues with a willingness to make things right for me.  That’s been much appreciated.

Appreciate you updating everyone and explaining what happened.  As someone that has a honcho on order i am pleased to see the customer service was painless and they were prompt getting things corrected.  I especially am encouraged by them giving you another magwell.  Glad it ran flawless today.
