  1. Thanks. By consistent do you mean OAL consistent? Do these bullets smoke as some other coated bullets do?
  2. Need to order some more bullets. I like 165 grain and have loaded the NE Reloading Accu Coat & they seem to be a good product. Have never loaded any from Everglades so I'd appreciate any feedback from those that have. I'm only loading minor at 1.15. Thanks for any feedback you might have.
  3. I've got an Emissary that was a 9 but is now a 40 (hope the 9 barrel will still work, we'll know down the road). I got a set of TechWell palm swell grips and their magwell (which should work with the stock grips). Really like it but it's not a carry gun (have a Tisas 45 for that). The Emissary is a Noval cut. I replaced my rear sight with an adjustable Kensight and the front with a Dawson fiber.
  4. Round nose FMJs, which is all I have in either length. I’m hoping that once the barrel gets about 250 rounds thru it I can drop to a lighter spring but only time will tell if that happens. This gun is for steel challenge/IDPA local matches.
  5. The gun not liking 1.12 factory ammo might be due to the too low recoil spring. Gun ran perfect this afternoon using a 14lb spring and some 170 pf 1.18 OAL 180 grain ammo. I'll try some 1.12 ammo again next time but I'd still like some 140ish ammo.
  6. No problems. Only needed some tweaks to the extractor for the larger case.
  7. Got a 14 lb recoil spring and the Tripp mags work perfect, even loaded to 10, which is part of the goal with this project. Sights return to almost perfect alignment. Yes new Schuemann Z barrel fit only with some tweaks to the extractor. Very minor fitting of the barrel was needed. Now if I can find some nice minor ammo.
  8. Any suggestions as to who makes/carries this ammo? Recently had a 40 barrel fit to my Springfield single stack 9mm Emissary. I have determined that the gun does not like factory 1.12 OAL ammo (feed issues), does like 1.18 ammo but I'm also still experimenting with recoil spring rates. I do have the "special" Tripp mags. I only load 9mm and before I add 40 to the press I'd like to just use factory ammo & see how the 40 experiment progresses. Thanks for any advice/suggestions.
  9. My set of Techwell grips arrived late yesterday. With these grips my Springfield Emissary is just under 45 oz. Have average size hands & I really like these grips but have not shot the gun with these yet.
  10. I’m ordering a 2nd custom 22 from Chet. The frame has to come from Cheely to you then you send it to Chet. Ordered my frame this morning. Hope to have my pistol by end of February.
  11. The Alpha dot has the same footprint but is slightly longer in the front. I have two and really like them.
  12. I recently purchased a Springfield Emissary in 9mm but they are made in 45 also. Probably have 1,000 rounds thru it. I changed the mag release to a Dawson, safety to an Atlas shielded, trigger to an X-line vario, and the front sight to a fiber optic Kensight. None of these changes were needed but what I wanted. Gun is now setup to my specs and is really nice in my opinion.
  13. Yes my Emissary has the bushing slot.
  14. Last Saturday in a SC match a squad member had an extractor break during a stage. Luckily he had a backup gun with him. No idea if/when he changes extractors (he will change it now) but I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. A match is a perfect time for a gremlin to decide to show up. What's the recommended round count for changing extractors?
  15. Anyone have any experience with this extractor? I need to order one as a spare and may as well improve the Legion. https://www.lonewolfdist.com/PRODUCT/921802/aw-p320-ss-9/
  16. I had Robert put a comp trigger in my Legion when he did his action job. I do like it and the trigger does seem to help with consistent finger placement but it is a different trigger than 2011s, which is what I am used to. Used mine for it's first steel challenge CO match last Saturday. My crappy shooting was not the fault of the trigger......or gun.
  17. I purchased a SafariLand 578 GLS Pro-Fit holster, from Academy Sports for $39, which fits my Legions with the thumb rest perfectly. I also bought a Boss hanger set-up to use for steel challenge CO.
  18. I sent both my Legions to Robert for his magic. He has a new curved trigger that I like much more than the stock flat trigger. But, it is not adjustable like the AC trigger, which does not bother me at all. He throated both my barrels so my reloads with RMR/PD 147s would pass a pluck test.
  19. I purchased a tool from Mr Longino. Quick shipment and good quality. Very pleased with it and highly recommend him and this product.
  20. Several years ago I had a set of soft plugs made to my ears at the Southern Side x Side shoot in NC. Guy first put a tampon down deep in my ear then mixed up the plug material and inserted it in my ear with a syringe. Had to sit still for 15 minutes then come back in an hour to pickup the plugs. I use these for shooting trap, sporting clays, etc. These plugs work well but I do wish I had a cord in them that goes around your neck. Helps with dropping/loosing a plug. You can get different colors & I recommend a bright orange. If you are close to a large sporting clays shoot you might check & see if a molded ear plug vendor is at the shoot.
  21. Thanks. The Safariland plate was $5 extra. Ordered and hope it arrives by Friday. Need to practice (a lot) before the next SC match.
  22. Please share your advice/recommendations for a drop/offset belt attachment/hanger. The mount that the belt goes thru is fine for IDPA but I'd like one that mounts over/around the belt. Will be used for steel challenge carry optics.
  23. I have one of these plates on one of my Legions. Quality product. https://outerimpact.com/shop/sig-sauer-p320-m17-pistols-red-dot-adapter-mount-m-r-a/
