We prefer clean shot powder, the title group is a hotter burning powder and can cause problems with polymer bullets .
-
Buy the JP it’s the most gun for the money not even close, you can always get the lightweight barrel or change out the handguard .
Dont buy the palmetto !
-
I love my smoke it got me down 6 lbs and has been flawless, if you break it I would bet money they replace it for free unless blatant abuse. There customer service is awesome!!
-
I go with the smoke, great product and customer service second to none!!
-
Buy a JP they make and build there guns, customer service is outstanding.
-
Buy direct there customer service is unmatched, and you will get the gun exactly as you want it.
-
Another thing that will help is get rid of the titegroup , switch to sport pistol, clean shot , or another power .
-
Bore snake ,clean gun after every event .
-
We use clean shot will no problems, it’s the hotter powders .
-
Congrats on the new family members,

I like 14.5 , and lite, and accurate. Some of the ultra lite barrels are not accurate FYI

I don’t see how you guys do it , I am glad I live in a free state, its UNAMERICAN .
-
Nice looking gun congrats the fun begins !
-
For me the JP just feels right , the support that is available to you with JP is not available with MPX . And the JP is all American and they do one thing rifles . But of course that goes back to the Ford VS Chevy .

I guess that’s the funny thing in a match there is no recoil for me just dot movement, my son shoots a frankengun with a blitkreig and I shoot a JP with SCS he says his is softer I can’t tell the difference. We shoot the same ammo he loads for us ,both guns tuned for it, there seems to be a chance that it’s just what each person likes and what there expectations are . Also he is much better shooter then I am so he has a better feel for the difference.

I would agree with the 14.5 , I love mine and also like the titanium comp .
Oh yea Lena is the lady’s champ whatever she shoots, Sig just came up with the most cheese Lol
-
Did you hear which one he owns, JP
-
Good luck enjoy shooting whichever way you go it’s a lot of fun.

I was not saying that JP is the only gun just that is very reliable, and easy to shoot and a good investment, you get what you pay for. Most of the custom builds with the components you need to be competitive if that’s what your trying to do will be well over 1 k but that’s each persons choice the thread was asking for help in making a good decision. My son is a master class shooter and has built all his guns and we set down did the math , there was very little saving for me so I bought the JP and am glad I did .

Get some

I never said that upgrades were a bad thing generally new shooters want dependability first then after they shoot for awhile then do some upgrades. Sure you can save some money building your own but unless you have someone else to give you the receipt it can get expensive. I believe he’s new to PCC

So this is what we have experienced at our club, JP out of the box no tinkering 100% , runs any ammo reliable, accurate, easy to work on, parts easy to obtain and affordable.
MPX if you get a (good one ) run great soft recoil , hard to clean ,parts hard to get and expensive , ammo sensitive.and cost more to buy
you decide. !!!
-
Another thought focus on dot movement, recoil is not going to make much difference.
-
I would disagree with the lower performance comments on JP, by the time you get your franenbuild to run it will cost more then you realize, by the time it runs no saving . Buy JP nothing else needed , after things slow down for you and you want to move to the next level buy lightweight hand guard .
Will Lightweight handguard allow more dot bounce?

I bought the smoke and love it , as Memphis said you control the gun through grip technique and practice. And as you know the beauty of the JP is the ability to tune your load or change the setup to reduce dot movement .
