Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I looked at it and the trigger bar is not centered on the plunger but it doesn’t look like it is on the other side. I took it to the range again ( after putting some sharpie ink on the trigger bar and it was still on it after shooting. I also looked at the plunger and didn’t see any scuffs or damage on it. Not sure why this happened but it seems to have fixed itself.
  2. I bought a new Rival S a week ago. About 200 rounds through it so far. I have a problem taking the slide off for cleaning. I am not new to Canik, I have had a TP9SFX ever since they came out so I know how they come apart. On this one when I pull the slide release tabs down and pull the trigger to release the slide the slide barely moves and then locks up and you can’t push it forwards or backwards. I finally got the slide off but noticed that it looks like the slide is rubbing on the trigger bar and causing damage. Here is a picture.
  3. I am surprised that Galloway sells a spring kit with your choice of 3 or 4 pound striker spring and claims that the 4 pound works great. I have to wonder if they even tested these before putting this on their website.
  4. I have not polished the surfaces yet. I did shoot the gun yesterday but had about 2 of every 10 rounds not go off even though there was a pretty good dent in the primer. I put the stock striker spring back in until I can get a 6.5 lb spring.
  5. I just installed the Galloway kit yesterday. I put in the plunger spring, trigger spring and their 4 lb striker spring. I don’t have a trigger pull guage yet but the pull seems a little less. I just hope the 4 lb striker spring doesn’t cause light primer strikes. If it does I will order the 6.5 lb Ghost spring.
  6. Does anyone use the Galloway spring set with the older SFX? I am going to upgrade my gun. I have been using a Freedomsmith trigger but want a lighter pull. Has anyone used the Blast45 Compensator and is it worth the $200 or would I be better off getting the TF weight kit.

    Canik MC9

I shot the MC9 last weekend. I like it much better than the Hellcat and it has a good trigger with fast reset like all Canik guns. I just wish that the grip was a little longer without the extended magazine.
  8. It can but Century sent me the complete guide rod and spring. Not sure how much you have shot the gun but you may want to shoot a couple hundred Winchester 124gn NATO rounds to break it in.
  9. My TP9 SFX is wonderful. The only problem that I had was that my reloads were to light for the stiff recoil spring so Century Arms sent me a lighter spring for free. This gun shoots great and is more accurate than any gun that I have. I would buy this gun again in a heartbeat! My reloads were very light (only 930fps with 124gn bullet). When new it would shoot 115gn Winchester white box ammo with no problems.
