  1. Rereading that now Don I believe I misrepresented the intent of my comments. I wanted to place the LOC as a good value piece with fit and finish closer to higher end builds ($6K+) versus lower price point options say Prodigy and STI DVC ($1500-$3000). It wasn't meant as an apples to apples.
  2. 200rd into my LOC and have been very pleased. The S3 grip is extremely sharp, much more significant than my Cheely Aggressive grip on my STI. Side by side with a Std DS9 Hybrid the difference is noticeable and slide to frame fitment is comparable with more expensive atlas and venom builds. If you're looking at a DS9, the upcharge to the LOC is a solid value in my opinion. --BF

    SJC Frame Weight

I have a Redeye Tactical fame weight holster sitting on the shelf if anyone is looking for one.
  4. Matt did nice work on my 6" Eagle Last year, would recommend. https://mclearncustomguns.com/
  5. Not sure if Ron does bluing or not but I can recommend his Hard Chrome. Mahovsky Metalife http://www.mahovskysmetalife.com/ -BF
  6. +1 for Dawson Buy it new from them and if you have any trouble getting the POA/POI where you want it to be they will cut a new front sight for you free of charge. Has helped greatly on my Glock 34's and Glock 24's. --BF
  7. mostly I've used the Hornaday cleaner diluted per instructions with distilled water.
  8. Have one for sale if you're interested send me a PM. --BF
  9. Agree with what has been said about OAL, I run a little heavier spring (15/14#) and that might picking up the first few rounds in those filled mags.
  10. +1 for Safariland 773's. Watch Midwayusa and you can pick them up cheap on clearance both with and without the ELS fork. Have CR Spreed pouches on my backup belt and they have been good but I dont care for them coming loose and rotating out of position.
  11. Good overall magwell. I thought it was taller than similar magwells but the mouth opening was slightly undersized compared to a Dawson or SJC. Fitment and mounting was excellent with no modifications or sanding to the grip was required. If your hands are on the larger size then the taller shape will give you a little more room without forcing your support hand/changing your grip. Would recommend. --BF
  12. Having run numerous different trigger bars, flat shoes, hand fit connectors and even short pined ejector housings and can say design and craftsmanship go a long way on improving the factory Glock trigger. With a factory trigger bar, vertical extension and cruciform there's a lot of hand polish and finesse needed to get a superior end product. Based on the website pictures I would suspect the pre/over travel and break should be better based on design. Curious why they kept a stock style vertical extension shape. At that market price i'd be tempted to give one a try. --BF
  13. Using Grrrrip right now, lotion, and have been very happy with it. https://www.amazon.com/GRRRIP-Enhancer-Improve-Hands-Lotion/dp/B06Y5P9SYN/ref=sr_1_7?crid=1AVZ79OHRTHZ7&dchild=1&keywords=dry+grip+lotion&qid=1611104215&sprefix=dry+hands+grip+lotion%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-7 Other guys at the club use liquid grip: https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Grip-Combo-Kit-8oz/dp/B007VQKGAA/ref=sr_1_37?crid=1AVZ79OHRTHZ7&dchild=1&keywords=dry+grip+lotion&qid=1611104304&sprefix=dry+hands+grip+lotion%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-37 I've noticed I started doing this as well. After originally starting with spray progrip and moving to the lotion, the spray does make for quick touch-ups throughout a match where i dont want/need a full application --BF
  14. Can anyone recommend single power RX lens/frame combo for -7.0 with Astigmatism? I have shot with contacts all my life and now am considering RX shooting glasses but am struggling to find makers that can go up to my needed power/axis. I'm leaning towards a single power lens instead of an insert (never tried an insert so maybe i'm off base) due to my RX and lack of peripheral vision. Any suggestions and experiences welcome. Thanks, -BF
  15. No practical reason, just never seen wonder and that made me ask why - I mean what is a guy to do with his extra G24's... Thanks for the link, I have enjoyed the Bar-Sto barrels I've used in the past, but the price takes the wonder out of it. Good Point. I had to play with the sight thickness and notch size to counter act some of what you talk about. Right sizing blade and notch has gained me back a bunch of that time on target inside 10yds.
  16. +1 for Mahovsky The 1st to be done certificate is pretty cool! I didn't get one for my monochrome Eagle project where Ron worked his magic to Hardchrome my aluminum Cheely grip by plating the aluminum in a base metal to get the hardchrome to stick, but I suspect he's done it a few times in the past!
  17. My Glocks have held up well in the US, the finish on my Dawson sights didn't survive the first bath. As previously mentioned, you need to be careful with bluing as I learned on my STI shorting after picking it up 2nd hand (They went in the same color and this is how they came out....)
  18. As the title says, has anyone see a threaded Glock 24 barrel? Did any of the major barrel companies offer one? I think a TF Sightblock on the end of a G24 would be neat to try. --BF
  19. I've tried the ebay special +5/6 based on regular G17 17rd mags and had very poor performance. internal dimensions where off the TTI model and was only able to load +2/3 on a good day.
  20. Shot this past weekend with a gentleman that was using a pair. He said they were comfortable and worked well for pistol level reports, however rifle reports were a bit too loud for his comfort. I'm still keeping an eye for a pair to try.
  21. Found it: I think he goes on to say you Need 2 open guns, but 3 is better!
  22. There was a worth watching live stream from Atlas in the next half of 2020 with Atlas and I think Venom Customs where they talk about the Pro's and Con's of island barrels. I found it interested that Atlas will not make an island barrel for one reason or another about slide strength and deformation, etc. If i can find the link i'll post it.
