  1. That's weird. No response from anyone yet.
  2. As I heard, there was an incident involving unsportsmanlike conduct within the Super Squad at the National Steel Challenge. Does anyone know what happened?
  3. By the way, when should I expect my $1MM?
  4. Actually, there are two clubs in St Augustine, one in Jacksonville, and one close to Daytona. The Fernandina Club (SEPSA) shoots on the second Sat. SAPSA in St Augustine shoots on the third Sat. Both the Ancienty City club in St Augustine and the Volusia club in Daytona area shoot on the fourth Sat.
  5. Had the same dilemma last year and learned the hard expensive way that KKM is not the way to go. Had lots of problems with tumbling bullets until I replace the barrel. Will not recommend a KKM barrel to anyone.
  6. Prior to the new barrel, I used to shoot up to 8.3 g of IMR 7626 with the original barrel and never experienced any over pressures issues. Guess I got a bad batch. Will try shooting VV 350 this weekend.
  7. 38 Super Dawson mini stroker with Nowlin barrel, 115 JHP MGs, overall length of 1.235", no holes 7.7 grains of IMR 7625 = 164.9 - 165.1 PF 8.0 grains of IMR 7625 = over pressure/case rupture 8.5 grains of VV 350 = 172 PF What's wrong with the IMR powder? Looking for a PF of 170-172. Is this normal?
  8. On a related matter, I have some .40 brass that has been sitting in the garage for around 5-6 years. Another IPSC just told me that over time, the brass can weaken due to the temp variations. Is this true?
  9. I think he was trying to say: "recoil control is felt more thru the weak hand."
  10. Bienvenido!!! From where in South America????
  11. How do you convert a screw set to a ball dent?
  12. Do you have any match day in mind? With that location and if you want to shoot on a Saturday, I would recommend shooting on the first Saturday of each month.
  13. Still available?

    Mario.

  14. The new USPSA club at the Ancient City Range (www.attac-fl.com) in St. Augustine will be shooting their match on the fourth Saturday.
  15. You are correct. However, as recommened by KKM, I went down to a 115 g from a 124 g. According to KKM the 1:32 twist work better for lighter bullets.
  16. Yeap. I found out the hard way.
  17. Gun: Dawson Mini-stroker (.38 super) Barrel: KKM .355 w/ Dawson cone compensator Twist: 1:16 Bullet : MGs 115 g Load: 8.3 g of IMR 7625 OAL: 1.224 Crimp: 0.381 Say about 1,500 rnds on new barrel (KKM)
  18. Measured the bullet and case wall: 0.355 + (0.130)2 = 0.381. Measured crimp on loaded rounds = 0.381.
  19. Don't know if the barrel was EDM, but I did shoot my load in similar gun with a different barrel and none of the bullets tumbled. Also need to add that while shooting the gun for the last two to three months, none of the hits showed evidence of tumbling.
  20. In what respect? Pat Apparently (as I was told by a gunsmith), as the barrel heats up, the holes affect the trajectory of the bullet within the barrel causing the bullet to tumble. My first two shots are usually within the point of aim, however, shots 3,4, and 5, are observed to tumble consistently to the low right. Anyone has had this problem before??
  21. Anyone else having problems with a ported barrel?
