  1. Thanks for the replies. If I ever look into comp hammers I’ll put an order in for the sears. I’ll run the RRK and some lighter springs and see how the wife runs the gun.
  2. Been awhile since I've cruised the forum, it looks like I'm going to adjust some of my years goals. Shot my third match and had an awesome (lucky?) day. Won C division (and beat everyone in A & B). Had a stage win on the longest course of the day, and shot 88% of the GM who won. Going to be a fun season. Planning to be competitive in A class before Provincial finals now.
  3. I know this has been done to death, probably a few times over. It will take a few months for me to get CGW parts (export stuff, not their fault), so everything I need for the foreseeable future kind of has to be done in bulk. I want to put together two nearly identical S2's. I shoot IPSC Production, and my wife (with tiny hands) has expressed some interest. She has a Shadowline, but prefers my S2, even though the grip is slightly larger. The biggest thing I'm trying to find out is if I need/should get adjustable sears, and the S spacers. Can someone a little more enlightened than me explain the pros/cons (if any)? My wishlist; Reach reduction kit 7580 (x2) Hammer pins 75009 (x2) - in case I ever install a CZ race hammer Floating trigger pins (x3) - in case I keep the Shadowline, which is unlikely Reduced power TRS (x4) because extra I have an assortment of main & recoil springs. And everything else that wears/breaks/may be required I can order within 2-3 days. I'm going to test primers with my current 11lb main/stock firing pin setup, but that is an easy to order fix anyways. I'm not looking for every .0001" of performance I can get - I run the gun well, and I'm only getting better. I just want the DA pull to be more comfortable for her, and on the off chance that a gun goes down at a match, we would be fine to swap.
  4. Awesome write up. The S2 is basically all I pay attention to in the competition world, I ran mine in my first two matches this year. I’ve loaded my 147 RNFP as long as 1.125” with no issues in training, my match ammo is at 1.106” and I allow .002” variance. Chrono’s at 920fps. I dont have the luxury of a couple of a backup pistol yet, I will likely order spare slide stops and a TRS just for piece of mind. My eyes were opened today to how poorly I’ve been maintaining mine with regards to oiling - I was missing a ton of key areas. I’ve never had a failure, but it was a good lesson to learn now.
  5. Thanks. I found a good post on CZ75 tear down, and jumped in. Pretty straightforward, I shouldn’t have been so hesitant. I started with my “backup/wife’s” pistol, just to get my feet wet. I can’t upload photos due to size, but I’ve got a Shadowline for her that’s now freshly detail stripped and cleaned.
  6. Happy to have found the forum. Started shooting pistol about a year ago and thought I would give competition a try. Shot a L2 & L3 match in Alberta over the summer, SLOWLY...but accurately, and safely. Our winter league nights have started up, and I'm starting to pick up the pace, shoot on the move, and podium weekly. I run 147g polycoats in a Shadow 2 @ 930fps, loading on a Square Deal B. Set a few goals for 2019, I'd like to see a Production stage win, match wins in B class, and finish the year in A. I have a GM I watch closely and I've been shooting 60-73% over the last few weeks. I was recently gifted Dryfire Reloaded, and a timer, looking forward to reading more about dry/live training tips, and pushing this season pretty hard.
