I think your pistol is broken and you should let me have it.  haha

Haha this gun has never had a hiccup minus this one mag in like 2k of ammo just wish IDPA wouldn’t get bent out of shape if I didn’t have to do a slide lock reload I would just count my bullets and do a mag change on empty

In this match is your mag capacity limited or are you loading them up?

if you don’t need max capacity I still have some mags with the stock STI followers that won’t lock until empty. If you work on them a little I can still get 19 rounds.

Yea I’m going to be limited 10 so I won’t need max capacity I’m thinking about ordering stock spring follower from Dawson hope that works .

I bought the last left handed Racer for an STI at DAA. It’s fine if you don’t plan on changing guns or grips, since it doesn’t have inserts. My Cheely E2 fit fine, as did a standard plastic grip. I assume the new Racer X would be similarly non-modular.

I found a double alpha racer with sti insert for 125 but not sure if I should get the racer x for 139 or go all out for the alpha x .

  4. Has anybody tried this holster I know it’s new but looks like a good less expensive option then the alpha x  . Wondering if it is worth spending extra for the alpha x vs racer x holster  . Also anybody have issues with the original racer holster?

CKArms billet shielded ambi. Had a cast safety break and take a nice chunk of skin off my thumb. Won’t do cast again!  The CKArms part was very easy to fit.

Nice looking rig I have the legacy grip on mine same color contrast . That ambi looks nice as well

It’s a nitro fan, I removed the thumb shield.   I have no problem keeping my thumb off the slide without it  Thanks

That’s a good idea I’ll grind mine off as well no idea why I didn’t think of that

are you left-handed? As a righty, I have less than no use for an ambi-safety. One more thing to break and also adds a step to working on the gun. If I have a choice, I always go single-sided. If I don't have a choice, I use the ambi until it breaks, then get a single-sided.

I’m right handed but I’m changing out firing controls so I have to replace the  thumb safety. I like the ambi for weak hand shooting . But I agree keep it simple !

  8. I am ordering egw fcg and debating on thumb safety what are you guys  recommendation . I’m between egw ambi , svi ambi and double tap shielded ambi . I have a nitro fin so I figured a shielded ambi would look nice . Any info would be great or pics of this setup .

Fwiw, I have a 2011 Edge in .40 with an Atlas trigger, an Atlas tuned egw sear and Atlas tuned  hammer. Everything came good to go from the factory and dropped right in. The break feels like you’re snapping a glass rod. However, it is noticeably lighter than the stock STI fcg... probably in the neighborhood of 2.5 - 3 lbs.  I’m not for sure tho, I don’t have a trigger pull tool.

    Best of luck,

Is that all you replaced or do I need to get the rest of the fire control group since mine was tuned ? Mine is tuned now to about same weight I should have specified I didn’t want it below that . Did you go 17lb main spring or anything what ?

  10. I have a sti edge 2011 with tuned stock internals and atlas trigger . My question is would the trigger be improved with aftermarket internals tuned by a gunsmith  or would I not get much of a improvement verses cost ? Pretty much don’t want it much lighter just maybe more crisp .Also any suggestions on firing control group and ambi safety would be great . Looking at extreme engineering fcg and double tap ambi .
