  1. For all those who were waiting on photos, here’s the link: https://imgur.com/gallery/Zw6fa45 I can never figure out how to get the photos to host well on this forum, so if someone else knows how and wants to toss them up, feel free.
  2. Do you have any footage of your previous load for comparison?
  3. I have! And I was able to test it out with some 9mm minor ammo, which it’s chewed through with zero malfunctions and I loaded up some 9mm major loads and they’re running great as well. Just got my Guga Ribas holster last night, so time to get dry firing. I’ll post up photos in a day or two.
  4. Handsome gun. Something you can use for work and play?
  5. Not "Custom" per se, but here is my Toor Field 2.0.
  6. Thank you, much appreciated.
  7. You only live once, right? I’m excited to give it a serious go.
  8. As a NJ resident, is it worth it to go to the 155s over the 140s when I can't load either to capacity? Any benefits to either one?
  9. This gun is going to be 9mm major, which I’ve never shot before. I just got into reloading in the past few months and only 9mm minor loads so far, but I’ll read up on some major load data and load some up. I definitely plan on snagging some mbx magazines. It’s coming with 6 factory magazines that appear to be blued with silverish base plates. I’m hoping that they work, but not getting my hopes up. This is my first 2011 format gun (I understand now that the Caspian frames are propietary) so I’m just going to use it as a learning experience and to dabble for the season in Open. All of this has been supremely helpful so far.
  10. I'd very much appreciate this!
  11. Just bit the bullet and snagged a Dan Wesson Elite Havoc, sight unseen, on gunbroker. (I know, I know.) So that being said, I’ve been shooting USPSA open with a Glock 19, RMR, Agency 417 Comp and a medium mag well for a while and decided it was time to try to shoot something more aligned with the nature of open division without totally breaking into open division money. There’s not much info on them online aside from the redundant regurgitation of the Dan Wesson website description, and only one guy seems to shoot one and post about it on his YouTube channel. Curious what the inside scoop is on them if anyone knows. I’m about to find out firsthand, I suppose, and I should have done this due diligence before hand, but what’s life without a little risk sometimes?
  12. You're missing what I'm saying. I'm stating that outside of USPSA and gaming, lots of guys who shoot with defensive purpose in mind are running rigs like this. Thigh rigs are disappearing, but the individual strap around the thigh is becoming the new norm. My point is that we allow a lot of very specialized gear in things like Open division, so why would we say that thigh straps are a no go? Edit: I recognize it's not allowed in the rulebook. I'm saying "why?"
  13. A lot of guys are adding straps to the bottoms of their safariland holsters. The butt of the handgun is still above the belt, but there's one strap around the thigh in the groin area.
  14. I live in New Jersey and have been shooting Open division with a compensated Glock 19 with a magwell and RMR for the past few years, just for fun. We went from 15 round magazine restrictions to 10 round magazine restrictions, and it seems like such a huge detriment to the shooters who are trying to rank at regionals and then nationals. Is Open just not feasible for shooters in those states? What's the thought process?
  15. I've been running a 6.5 MOA RMR for several years on a carry G19 that I was shooting in USPSA Open. I am over the 6.5MOA game. It's too broad. My buddy picked up a 1MOA SRO and it's dreamy. I think I'd be torn between that and the 2.5MOA SRO.
  16. What is the issue with a tie-down rig? Seems like a silly nit-pick when holsters are allowed to be skeletonized and custom adjustable can't and barely any retention once a switch is turned off. If we allow that sort of thing, what's wrong with something simply keeping a holster in place?
  17. Trying to find a common ground balance for patrol rifle and match rifle. Looking at doing a JP 14.5" gun. Torn between the SCR-11 and JP-15 with the new ambi lower. Is the SCR-11 that much tighter in tolerances? Is it significantly heavier? Or does the billet receiver set balance that out?
  18. I run a Calvin Elite with the knurled rod shoe and it's hands down the crispest, fastest trigger I've ever shot. Im consistently impressed with its ability to run around a pound and a half (I don't have a trigger scale) and to retain safety lock up/drop safe. The adjustment for the forward/rearward trigger length is an added bonus, as well as the multiple shoes it comes with. If there's anything I can do to show/share with you, let me know.
  19. I’ve been dabbling in USPSA and GSSF for the past year. Really want to get into 2 or 3 gun matches. I’ve been shooting a Glock 19 with a Micro Comp, a mag well and an RMR in open class. I’m certainly not winning any matches, but I’m not doing poorly either. I enjoy open class, as I like the tech involved and knowing that if there are points dropped, it’s my own doing. However, that Glock is just not a competitive gun in that division, so I’ve been toying with the idea of either snagging a Shadow 2 and making it as close to a czechmate as I can get or just waiting and saving up for an Atlas Chaos. Figured this was the place to pick peoples brains. So, hey, I shoot at Shongum and RTSP if anyone’s local.
  20. Greetings! Checking in from North Jersey. Morris/Warren County. Work in Hunterdon. Shoot USPSA when work schedule allows. Currently shooting Open Major (somehow) with a Glock 19 with RMR, Micro Comp, OC Trigger and some other mods. Realistically here because I’m trying to talk myself out of jumping straight to an AGW Chaos Open gun.
