  1. That's way awesome, dude! What's your ave. reload time?
  2. This is interesting for a winter/off-season practice. Hong Kong Airsoft IPSC
  3. But both of them are fairly accomplished, accurate shooters, no? Here's my question: Say Lee runs a 4.8 40-yard dash. At what point does he get dropped from the team because there's someone who can run it in 4.3? I think this is a very, very complex question. Initially, I thought, Yeah, makes sense -- say out of a population of 100 young men and women, cull out the fastest 20 in dashes, agility tests....But what if someone in that group of 80, that didn't make the cut, can just mow down a freakin' plate rack? Just the way his or her eyes and brain are wired? Do you leave him or her off the team? I don't have the answer to that question. Good point though. I guess we'll hafta wait until Max answers all our question.
  4. FYI AMU has 3 new young guns in their stable. I know at least 2. KC Eusebio and Lee Dimaculangan. I think they both qualify to the criteria above.
  5. It's $229.95 +conversion kit $19.95. BE is offering this on his eCommerce site. Dillon 550B auto brass feeder
  6. It makes sense. Thanks, Jake, for that insight in stressing the key importance of dry fire reloads.
  7. Sorry, I just lifted the URL from the site. I don't know if they have it in .wmv True, They are way too fast. The only difference between them is that JJ catched the spent mag and TT didn't. I'm sure TT can catch it too.
  8. Duracell® DL1/3N or Energizer® 2L76 I usually get Duracell® from RadioShack® here's the link: Duracell® in Radioshack®
  9. Here's JJ's cool reload: JJ Racaza's Fast Limcat Reload
  10. Welcome! Good decision to join. This Forum hosts a lot of valuable info in shooting and related topics. The folks that participate in this forum are very helpful and informative. I will admit I've already picked a lot of tips from them ever since i've discovered this Forum. Once again, welcome and hope to see your future posts soon!
  11. use your left hand pinky... Just kidding. Bottom line is you can use index, middle, ring finger as long as you are: 1. safe 2. comfortable eventually, you'll find your sweet spot. follow what you feel and think is best for you. I shoot 1911 type pistol and use my left hand trigger finger to release mag. But! my mag relaese button spring is 'tweaked' real light that my average reload is sub 1.0 sec. In out-of-the-box pistol, it might take me longer to do that. I might even use a different finger or technique to drop my mags. +2 on dry fire
  12. Railway to slideride: just remove the rail by loosening the two clamp screws. Screw location: 1. rear of the lens. 2. front of the dot module Serendipity to SlideRide: Not sure but I've read somewhere in this forum a way to do it. Apparently, Serendipity has same structure as slideride/railway, you just have to clip off the mount and bore holes in the 2 big screw bolts that attaches to the mount.
  13. i hope so. It looks like it's doing pretty good. Here's what it looks like now:
  14. I inheritted Jake's problem. I bought his Open Gun. When I first got it, it had the same issue/s as stated in this thread. Failure to extract. I shot two local matches with real Failure To Extract problems. What I did so far: Worked on it as suggested by our good folks here in the Forum. I found out that the Firing Pin Stop is thinner than usual. I believe Jake dry fires a lot and my theory is he pretty much worn out the FP stop to it's current thickness :-} Got an oversized EGW FP Stop and tweaked it to appropriate tightness. Test fired after that and still had some FT Extract problems but much less than before. I followed another recommendation from another smith in this Forum about thinly filing the underside part of the AFTEC where it touches the extractor tunnel to add more tension. Tested it and now working fine. Shot a 110+ rounds match WITHOUT any Fail to extract problems. One stove pipe, which I attribute to another issue. Will try to shoot another local match to see if it remains consistent. Wish me luck!
  15. I noticed in matches outside US, the RO will moved the timer behind/away from the shooter once shooter completes course and in the process of unloading. Then, he/she will show the displayed time to the shooter once gun's holstered, then finally announce the time to the crowd/competitors. It was strange to me but somehow I now get the practicality of it.
  16. s2-type. titanium preferred.
  17. I used the first generation Ghost holster. I eventually stopped using it due to safety concerns. I noticed that after it's mechanism gets worn out, it was unlocking when i'm running/walking. It exposed my pistol from jumping out of the holster. It did jump off several times (unloaded). Otherwise, It's a fine holster compared to my 011 (Safariland). I'm not sure if the current generation of Ghosts still has this tendency. I'm using Limcat holster currently.
  18. For US Citizens/Residents, FYI. A visa is needed to travel to Brazil. One of the exceptions where we need a visa stamped into our passports. Here's Continental Airlines Travel Guide for Passport, Visa & Health Requirements: http://www.continental.com/vendors/default...t.asp&i=TIMATIC Otherwise, don't forget to try their churrascos.
  19. Thanks, all. I'll put this on my Holiday wishlist for 06. :-)
  20. I've shot Athena's new Phanter/a recently. It's got both beauty and brawns:-) I think it's a big contender in the emerging'shorty' market. I think you should consider it. Downside is it's not in mass production yet. If you can wait until Johnny Lim get's into full swing, then i think it's worth it.
  21. I'm moving from .38 super to 9 mm major load. Currently using dillon 550B. Do I need to change any of the dillon parts? Thanks in advance!
