  1. I run the Gen 2's new and old, Grams guts, TTI bases, they run great after I tuned them with the right numbers! If you run Grams followers/springs make sure you tune them with the correct numbers from Atlas's YouTube videos and they will run great. In their video about tuning the neck the measurements for 9mm are in the comments.
  2. Like others have said, send it in, it's going to die. Same thing happened to mine.
  3. I got rid of my slide ride due to stovepipe problems, STI changed it out for a RTS2 and the stovepipe problems are gone. However the RTS2 had problems after 8 months and had to be repared.
  4. Dry fire as must as you can and practice the awkward positions. Set up small barricades in the house/ garage so you can work on finding the dot as you lean around it, it's also a good time to work on having the gun ready as you get in position. I think it takes time and practice.
  5. I made dummy rounds with nickel plated cases with no primers or powder. I can tell right away that they are the dummy rounds. They are kept with the factory dummy rounds that also have nickel cases, that I use as the last round in the mag because they have a orange tip.
  6. Nice. I sent mine back in Jan. and they changed out the slideride for the RTS2 which took care of the stovepipe problems. I figured it was only a matter of time before it cracked, it had the larger side cuts that touched the top line on the comps side, just like all of the others that I have seen that have cracked. At least it's this time of the year and not in the summer.
  7. Just sent mine in for the same thing. I hope it doesn't take 6 months now, their turn around is suppose to be faster now, looks like I'll be shooting my DVC limited gun for awhile.
  8. Like Mikeski said TTI base pads works great. The 170 gen 2 STI mags takes the 3mm TTI base pads and they fit in the gauge.
  9. So there is no worries about that little bit of spring pressure on the base plate that makes the mag's nose slide up the angle of the gauge anymore? In the past I've tapped the mags bottom so the play in it is gone and the base plate doesn't get pushed out by the spring.
  10. Just curious, I don't have any Gen 1's but if you don't put the longer spacer in are you running the risk of the follower or round hanging up at the bottom of the short spacer?
  11. Sorry about getting back to you late, busy weekend. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the gen 1 and 2 mags in the neck measurements if any. They are easy enough to tune once you have the right numbers so you may have to try it and see. You maybe be able to search Atlas's YouTube channel and find something about the measurements of the gen 1's.. The only gen 1 mags I have are for my limited gun and I haven't put Grams in them yet. I just changed the base plates out on them so next will be new springs and followers.
  12. Check to make sure that the "neck" measurements or area where the mag changes from double to single stack is correct. Atlas has a short YouTube video on how to do it for Gen 2 mags. BUT check in the comments for the correct measurements, the measurements in the video are for 40's not 9's. I was having problems with that gap/nose diving after I changed to Grams guts in my STI tubes and I keep tuning and working on getting them to run right. Come to find out I had the wrong measurements..... don't that! The stock followers (Gens 2)are wider then then Grams, the area where they change from double to single stack needs to be tighter for the Grams to feed right which causes that gap between the rounds which causes the nose diving. Good luck I hope this save you some of the frustrations that I had.
  13. Same here my son's has two also. We got to shoot it today and it's a great shooting gun.
  14. I didn't get the chance to shoot my son's new Chaos yesterday but tomorrow we plan on it and I'll look to see if it came with 2 or 3 holes.
  15. I agree, however I had to change from one mount to another after STI put on a RTS2 and I liked the flat thumb rest that ordinally came on my DVC. So sometimes it's not changing something just to change it maybe you don't have a choice to change. Anytime I change something I like to do it in the off season when I have time to dry fire and run local indoor matches to get use to it. I know for me the GoGun is just to straight up and down, I like my thumb to be flatter and my wrist locked over more then my thumb higher. I get a better and more consistence grip probably from being use to having the thumb on the frame over the trigger when shooting guns without thumb rest. It's nice that people will clean off their bench and sell the things that doesn't work for them so others can try something that they have had their eye on trying and get it at a reduced price. I know that I have a couple of mag releases that I need to sell that I thought was go to work great but didn't. Or maybe I should say they worked to good when I didn't want them to!
  16. I have not shot a Limcat but after tomorrow I be able to tell how a Atlas Chaos shoots!
  17. I just seen the Limcat's wedge thumb rest that I would like to try, but I don't see that it's for sale on their website. I, like a lot of other people that have commented, do not like the thumb to be too vertical.
  18. 8.1 HS6 124 Everglades JHP version 2 OAL 1.170" 172 PF out of a DVC open.
  19. I know what you mean. In January STI replaced my original C-More with a RTS2 and mount. A few weeks ago it started to dim or almost shut off and then back on when the slide would cycle. Fortunately I have another one that I'm running for now until I get the one back from C-More.
  20. If you are going to try some other bullets give Everglades 124 gr JHP RN version 2 a try, I've been running them for the last year and really like them. They are reasonably priced, consistence weight, feed great and accuracy is very good. I believe the last ones with a sale was a little over $.08 apiece when you bought the 3750 piece box.
  21. My son has smaller hands then me and he likes the Go Gun. For me the RHT rest in the second hole forward works great, but is to far forward for him. So something set back like the Go Gun made be your best bet. Good Luck.
