  1. Hello Bruce, you could probably count on 5 pieces going to Germany too. Please without predrilled holes to be able to adapt to different Frames. And: Did you get my Mail regarding Scopes ? Greetings Wolfgang
  2. I am using a Ghost Holster now for 4 years in IPSC and Bianchi. The same Holster for 5 different guns all based on SVI/STI Frames: IPSC Open, Standard, Modified and Bianchi Open / Metallic. There is no adjusting or whatever because there is nothing holding onto the slide or Barrel. It is by far the most versatile, savest and strongest (and fastest) Holster I have used. And I started shooting IPSC in 1988. There were some Holsters during that time. Instead of taking a sponsored Holster from company " ", I just bougth a second Ghost last year ! Wolfgang
  3. Yes Flexmoney, you got it. Production isn´t really getting to the point under NRA rules. I´ve been in Columbia now several times and in Production Class there are people shooting 6" Match Pistols or Revolvers against Glocks or let´s just say Duty Guns. Not really fair or equal. So to draw a clear line and give people (esp. Beginners) the chance to compete with equal equipement we had the following idea: Here in Europe we will adapt the "Production" Category from IPSC/USPSA for Bianchi. That means: basically all Duty Guns are accepted. No 6" inch whatever CustomShop but factory built guns. Theres a specific list with IPSC/USPSA. 1st shot has to be fired as double Action (except guns like Glock or Springfield XD). All other regulations according to NRA Metallic rules. We will try that at our German Nationals and at the European Match later in 2007. Goal is to attract competetive shooters from other disciplines and have a basic entry level class where you can really win with a "cheap" gun. Our intend is: same gun and equipement is competetive for all fields of Action Shooting. We will see how it works out.
  4. That´s the best picture I found until now. What we would like to find out is: how thick are the black printed lines indicating the 10 and 8 Ring. As it looks, there isn´t a printed outline on the edge of the target, is it ? If anybody has a better, digital picture, please let me know. Thanx, Wolfgang
  5. Hello, has anybody a good quality Picture of the new AP Target for 2007 ? the printed one with the black Center ? Would be a great help to get one. We need to manufacture new Targets here in Germany for the upcoming Events. Thank You !!!
  6. Hello Kevin, whoooow: prone shooting on 15 yards with Open Sights. I have to try that next time. Yes and thanks for asking: I spoke to Jim himself and received not only BC2006 video but some more stuff on Team challenge and End of Trail. Very interesting: shooting stell plates on 5 yards with whimp loads ! But these guys are fast as hell. Comes close to 1911 speed. Jim is a very nice and friendly Guy. Also good show ! We should have something like that here in Europe!!! Tulsa: What "Big Match" means, I don´t know. Tom was talking with Bianchi Coordinator about a Match. And I would consider here a 1 Day Event. If there will be 2 sets of Bianchi Equipement, so that parallel to the Match people can just practice I don´t know yet. But for our Group that will Attend the 2007 Cup, going to Tulsa first is planned right now. Most of us would like to see something else but Columbia and Green Valley now. So our hope is to have a nice time during our preparation in Tulsa, and then just hop to Columbia for the last 4 days. Also giving Tom and his Crew some Attention due to international guests: like "official Practice Range of the German Natinaol Team" (sounds good, does it ?) will help them. Same is with more Attention from other BC Shooters. Right now here in Germany we are planning details on our European BC, scheduled from 4th to 12th of August (Match 9th to 11th). As soon as we have hard facts, I´ll post that. Greetings and Regards Wolfgang
  7. Hello, in Australia we german guys did speak with the USSA people about having Practice Sessons and a Match prior to the Columbia Event. Instead of the Green Valley Club we would like to use Tulsa as our Practice Range and just switch to Columbia for the Cup on Monday or Tuesday. That´s the idea at the moment. Nothing fixed yet. Greetings Wolfgang
  8. Hello and happy new year from Germany, do I get it right: prone shooting also for Metallic, Production and Open Modified ? I couldn´t find any other references. I´m also sorry to loose Rudy ! Finally did a excellent Job.
  9. Hello 8 shooter: before buying the same scope again, think about adopting a mover base from another supporter of our sport: I think his name is Moore. Then you are free with the scope choice. The scopes from Mikey Fowler work really good and they have a Tombstone. Our team is using Scopes and bases for over 2 years now without a single malfunction or failure ! Just an idea, Regards Wolfgang
  10. could anybody record that and share it on the www, please. There is no way to see it here in europe. thank you !!!
  11. Here in Europe modified is a little more popular. Just as a starter my Modified Gun, built by German Custom Shop HPS. Regards Wolfgang Here in Europe modified is a little more popular. Just as a starter my Modified Gun, built by German Custom Shop HPS. Regards Wolfgang
  12. "it's back over the ejection port but probably looks prettier that way" Good point but what more essential ? nice looking or 100% reliability ? I just shot our nationals last weekend and shared my new modified pistol with another shooter due to gun problems. That gave me the possibilty to watch my gun very close in a match. 1st thing I noticed was the totaly equal ejection of the brass. Like a Standard gun. The other shooters in my squad (Cmore) had brass flying in all directions. So if each case first touches the scope or mount before it really clears the gun. It must be likely that at some time something gets stuck. So why not prevent every possible cause for a failure ? Just my idea about it. PS: the W mount is very soft and weak material. I worked on one years ago. If you even think of thinning the topstrap, i wouldn´t do it.
  13. @ Dean: I am developing a frame mount for the docter which will have the same screw holes as the c-more. The mount will take the sight further back onto the gun to achieve the least amount of flip as it would be if it were on the slide itself. I would suggest not to go farther back. Just like I did on the Modified Gun. The End of the Mount / Sight is exactly leveled with the foot of the Barrel in the unlocked position. This is to have a fully free ejectionport. So there is just nothing that could interfere with the ejected brass. I would consider this as more important than mounting the sight 1/2" more to the back. If you have these mounts, please post it. I think there would be also demand from europe to get them. Also make some just without holes to fit other patterns like Weigand style. Greetings Wolfgang
  14. replace C-more with Docter ? I just did it again with my Modified Gun. Pictures: The Cmore had a lot of gunsmoke on it all the time. Now the much lower Docter doesn´t catch any smoke. Even without the Blastshield. The Doctored gun now also points much more natural. Next weekend will be our german nationals. We will see how it works out. Have shot one Match with the new sight and I felt much more confident on moving targets, espc. swingers. PS: mount was made by german gunsmith Karl Hamann, Wolfsburg
  15. Thank you for the VERY positive story. Sounds a little like unbelievable. I think, we were kind of lucky because part of the equipement (platerack) was never tested before the match. But one could say german engineering works However, we have to thank YOU Jim for your help and that you really made it to this little remote country. Pictures and Results of the match can be found on our website: Hope to see more internationals next time, Greetings Wolfgang
  16. Hello, does anybody have teh email Adress from D-sport in Columbia ? After having our 1st Match on the Weekend, some shooters asked me about Bianchi Shirts. So easiest is probably to have them made by the Pro´s from d-Sport and ship them. Thanx Wolfgang
  17. Hip Hip Huray :-). Great Range and NICE area. Looks like a place with mostly nice weather. Congratulations to the 4 lines of barricades !
  18. Ok , one more suggestion from me: 1st and esential thing: practice the draw. You can not buy a consistent draw and initial find of the Dot. No matter what setup you will choose. Beside that: my personal finds are: the higher the scope, the mor problems you will have. C-more is the worst in this. I´ve shot Aimpoint for years and they are fine if they don´t break. For one year I´m now playing around with Docter´s and find these ideal for fats target aquisition. It´s VERY close to the speed of iron sigths because you can really point the gun into the target and use the dot for precision. But: you need to fix the cable problem (hot glue) in order to make the Docter last, even on a mount. Another benefit of the Docter is the total clear ejection area. There is sinply nothing to catch the ejected brass, and so you will have a better reliability for your Open pistol. See comparision of the scopes in the pict.
  19. Hello, good to see that there is some interest. If we are lucky we can share place and look of our Bianchi Ranges. About the problems: You need to have google earth installed > see google for this the database file with the coordinates has an .kmz extension. This kind of file seems to be blocked by the Forum Server. So again, this time a real, ZIP Archive that U can unzip and then use. I thought people add their Range, and then upload the bigger database again for the others. I´m not sure about the position of Google when it comes to weapons. It´s sometimes funny with US companies. If anybody knows if Google is pro gun, then we could also use the "open" google earth community to post Range locations. Thank for helping, Greetings from Germany Wolfgang PS: 2 weeks to our German Open Bianchi Match. Just signed IPSC #2 shooter, Saul Kirsch, in Europe in. After I told him that there is this new class "OpenModified" he was interested. He just didn´t know that he can compete without a bells and whistles gun. Bianchi_Ranges.zip
  20. Seems that nobody is interested to share their Range Locations. So why bother about new shooters when they don´t know where to go and meet people who do the sport.
  21. There is our German Open BC, 21st to 23rd of July. Phillipsburg, Germany. This Match is sanctioned. In order to spread information I tried to start a database wich indicates where in the world are Ranges to shoot Bianchi, see the thread. However seems that nobody is interested to share their Range Locations.
  22. Hello, looks to me that there is kind of unknown where in the world Bianchi Cup is actually shot, more or less frequently. So: I would like to propose to build up a Database with the help of Google Earth to let everybody know where one could go to find company for shooting Bianchi Cup or get started with it. Enclosed is the first little set of Ranges. I would say everybody adds the Ranges he goes to to shott BC and posts the enlarged .kmz file again. Greetings Wolfgang HMMM: Can´t get .kmz File uploaded. Any ideas ? As a workaround I replace the extension wirh .zip. In order to use the file: download and manually edit it back to .kmz. Then run it with google earth.Bianchi_Ranges_26062006.zip
  23. Hello, just wan´t to strengthen what others said before: Our club has 4 CED8000´s, working well but handling because of the housing is poor. CED7000 seems to be a good option. Beside that I personally use PACT since 1988. A few breakages occured due to dumping the timer to the ground, but everything has been fixed by PACT for free !!! 2 years ago I´ve accquired the new PACT model, just fine ! my Baseline: if you are serious about competion, you will need to check your loads frequently. So you will need a chrono. If so > buy a PACT. If not > for just a Timer CED will do an is much smaller. I would only not like the idea of recharching. You will have to load up this thing prior to practice. Once it is empty it´s needs time for recharching. Not just a battery change. Greetings, Wolfgang
  24. Hello Thomas, first you need to "rip" the DVD´s. meaning to copy the files onto your harddrive. There rise 2 problems: the copy protection mechanisms and that the DVD uses kind of a propriate file format. So to get started you should try "mpg stream clip" to get the data on your harddrive. Then you need to convert the files into the fitting format and size for your new toy. regards Wolfgang
  25. Just a question though, If you are going to mount a Docter that way why give up the bigger field of view, intensity control, and reliability of the C more? Hy, I did this too because of the way lower Aiming Point. After switching to Cmore I alsways had the feeling that my former and lower scopes just felt more "natural" to aim with. see attachement for direct comparison
